I never started an introduction thread when I got here. I could barely type my own name on Day 1. SoÂ…IÂ’ll just start one now on the occasion of the second floor.
Mainly, I just needed somewhere to put a short follow up to my HOF speech.
A few weeks ago, my Mom texted me a picture with a message that said, “Show this to your quit friends.”
ThereÂ’s no way to post a picture here, but itÂ’s fairly easy to describe. It was a picture of a marble box sitting on the cushion of a worn out recliner. It was a picture of her brother, Charles. I mentioned him in my HOF speech.
He died on November 14th. He was 57 years old.
The quit will get easier. Maybe too easy. Our group (shout out to the September 2016 STDÂ’s) is less than half the size it was when we started. ThatÂ’s to be expected, I guess. But if you leave KTC at some point, keep that contract in your wallet. Keep our numbers. Do whatever you need to do to stay quit. DonÂ’t ever forget why you came here.

Thanks for the story. People can forget that this is a life or death decision.
Almost 4 out of 5 (78%) of those that posted a Day 1 in the April '16 group are gone now.

Sorry for the loss of your Uncle. But thank you for sharing, that's a powerful image you described. So glad you're in September; you and the rest of the guys are so much fun and make this whole quit war so much more bearable. Here's to 300 and beyond.

Dave,
You, sir, officially rock. Thanks for this introduction. Always knew you were a standup quitter. (anyone rebuilding a 68 Mustang can't be all that bad!!). I appreciate your intro, but more importantly, I appreciate your quit. Thanks!
