Hi, my name is James. I'm 30, and two days into being chew free. Been using since 2000 (sports) and since 2003 been 2 can a day Grizzly Wintergreen Longcut fiend. I'm fortunate that nothing drastic has opened my eyes to quitting; realized I'm not invincible as once thought. I am 91 days sober. Not sure if appropriate to post on here but realized there's more to life than blackout drinking/chewing for last 16 rears. This is the start to a new path, and wanted to reach out to fellow quitters for support. My weakness is fishing, the boat, the steam of the water, the smell, the truck ride up early, all remind me of Grizzly. Any pointers out there for overcoming my addiction and living a healthy life?

Hi J and welcome to the KTC website. I am approaching the 100 days quit mark soon and couldn't have done it without the accountability of this website. After day 3 tomorrow, all the nic is out of your system and tough part #1 is done. For me, day 2 3 were the hardest. After that, it gets better but each day is a constant battle.
If you've read around on the site, you've seen that what we do on this site is wake up every morning and post roll call, which is our promise to quit for today. As addicts, we quit one day at a time. For me, this daily promise has gotten me through some times where I just may have caved in the past. Believe it or not, I spent several hours in a late season bow stand and spent full days on the ice fishing without the nic bitch in my lip. If I can get there, you can too my friend!
Read up on how to find your Hall of Fame group and how to post roll call. The folks in your hall of fame group will become your support. Quit on!!

This site is great, a little rough at times but we need it.

Yeah, just get through today. Don't worry about tomorrow.

Posting roll daily helps, jump in with both feet. I am like you as in I drink entirely too much, but found the strenght to quit dipping. I firmly believe that if you are 91 days sober, you can be nicotine free as well.

Welcome James! ;Ironman:
and Lucky man. Booze is a big trigger for me. Without alcohol calories I'm wasting away... six two and 175
I exercise but am having a hard time putting on weight. Ideas welcome 'flush'
