I dont want to be a complainer, because I love the site, but does the Ebay ad banner for Skoal paraphanlia bother anyone else. I am trying my best not to think about the stuff, only to see the signage right there in front of me.
Is it kept as a way to support the site? If so, I guess I am cool with it, I just wonder if there is another way.

unfortunately as we are on a free board (hosted by invisionfree) the ads are part of WHY the boards are free. unfortunately, we have no control over what ads are placed there. i've complained on numerous occasions to invisionfree with little luck.
a while back we had paid to get rid of them... however, based on the way that invision does their ad removal and the amount of traffic that this site gets, that only lasted about 3-4 days. don't get me wrong, this is a GOOD thing in our eyes.
as you know, killthecan.org and these boards have never and will never ask for money to keep things going. unfortunately, this is one of the things that we need to deal with.

The only way to remove the ads is to pay for them. Lst time we tried we got 3 days for $5. I reckon it would last about a day now. Invision profits from them but said they can not do anything about the content. I am not a Com Geek so I don't know if there is anything more can be done about the content of the ads. It does suck though.

Download the Firefox web browser and add the ad blocker. Thats what I did and it works great. I never see the adds and I get spell check on the boards.
The only down side so far is adding a color etc. to a post. I have not figured how to do that yet.

I actually never see them any more. I have a barracuda both at work and at home and they get blocked, even using IE
