Title: Hello
Post by: Norton on April 04, 2012, 07:58:00 PM
Tried a hundred times. This time feels different. This time I am tired of having a chew in my mouth from awake to asleep. My teenaged boys don't need to see that.

I threw away a full pack of Redman on Saturday. Still shaking and fighting the urge to kill someone. The longest that I have lasted is 9 days a few years ago. And most of that was due to a wrench slipping and busting up my lips.

Very new to the forum thing. Glad to be here.

Welcome to KTC, Norton.

As I mentioned earlier, read everything you can on this site. Understanding what your mind and body are going through right now is quite helpful.

If you need to, get involved in CHAT for some support when things get tough.

Post roll early every day and keep your promise. You'll be surprised at how quickly the quit days accumulate.

I know you have Spring for support. He's a hell of a quitter and has been a tremendous help to me. But if you need another number, just contact me.

One day at a time . . . .

Thanks guys.

Everytime that I tried to quit in the past was because someone else wanted me to. Or I was being cheap and complaining about the cost. I can honestly say that I really didn't want to quit then.

Mindset is half the battle.
