Title: 24/7 dipper
Post by: nichuf on November 01, 2011, 02:05:00 PM
Hello everyone:

Well, I am seriously considering quitting. I think my mind is definitely getting to that point. I wanted to find out if I am the most addicted chewer in the US. Like most of you I wake up brush my teeth and put in a dip. I dip will at work, while I fish, fold cothes, practically anything. Do any of your go to bed with a dip in your mouth? I usually wake up around 3am to take it out? If any of you are similar and have any ideas to help deal with this I would appreciate it.

Honestly, I am scared shitless because of how it will more then likely affect me. Any advice is good advice so long as I am not starting a new dangerous addiction.

Thanks everyone

We create freedom here 1 day at a time. Do you want to be free or a slave to a drug that a plant produces? Ponder that question.

I choose freedom. I no longer desire the alternative.

Welcome aboard...

First off, if you've got a dip in, spit that shit out. Second, take all the tobacco you have and flush it down the toilet. We're all about quitting cold turkey around here because it works. Don't wait, stop considering and quit now. It's a simple process, but it's not easy.

Click on the salmon colored link in the upper left that says "Welcome Center" and read all the steps. Then get into the February 2112 (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=5397) quit group and post your Day 1. Learn how and why we post roll and get going.

You won't find better support anywhere than right here. 9000+ ex-dippers can't be wrong. Every single one of us has been where you are today, and every single one of us will support your quit, but you have to make that decision. You have to quit for you, and no one else. You can do this if you make that decision, and we'll be right here to push you along. Will you quit with me today? 'archer'

You are like us. We are like you. Until 14 days ago I dipped all day - every day. One first thing in the morning, and one just before I fell asleep.

Now, go spit that shit out. Flush it down the toilet. Man up. Tell us all - you are QUIT!!!

The first 3 days will suck. You will be in a fog... angry... want a dip more than sex. But then it gets better.

14 days ago I got nervous thinking about going fishing, camping, cooking out, just about anythink without my copenhacken. But TODAY is a great day. I am enjoying my quit and proud that I AM NO LONGER SLAVE TO A CAN OF SHIT. I am in control, not nicotine.

You can do this.

If you are here, and you took the time to register, I would wager that you are ready to quit the nic bitch.

We will be with you every step of the way. I just quit six days ago, and let me tell you it sucks, at times. Not all the time. Even though its still early in my quit I have had times in the last few days where I have felt great physically, emotionally and mentally.

Quitting is scary but basically it boils down to whether you want to be a little bitch or not. Do you really want to have one more regret when you are on your deathbed, one that you could have controlled?

Come on lets make this a success story

You know what's so fucked? I missed out on a lot of good shaggin' over the past two years because I had just had a dip and I didn't want my lady to know. I actually chose chew over sex.

Now that I'm clean and my lady knows all about it, I've been rewarded with some pretty awesome sex. Just one more benefit (and motivator) for quitting.

a fucking bullshit intro from someone wanting to see if their dipping dick was bigger than everyone's. then he saw that people just like him were here and QUIT and got scared. he came in expecting to have the biggest dick around but found out that he's really been measuring his clit all this time. he's now seen how big quit dick is and is feeling a little, um, lacking so to speak.

nichuf, if you can ever find your balls long enough to actually quit, let us know. until then, enjoy your prison. slave.

I got to agree with DC. This is complete fucking dribble. I'm "seriously considering" requesting a "flush" button on the intro threads so when crap like this floats to the top of the bowl I can "power flush" it outta here. Check your Jockies for nuts and let us know. You want to fight, then fight. You want to suck your thumb and piss your Hello Kitty panties, stay in the stroller.

Didn't quit, just decided to read from people who have gone through the first couple of days. Also took the advice that said really take the time to read and go through the website. Don't make assumptions becuase someone didn't reply the exact second you posted something. Almost have hit the 24 hour mark. As a matter of fact the people who were so quick to judge were the people I took the advice from.

The post we're looking for is roll a.k.a. putting your word down with rest of us that you quit today. Otherwise, please enjoy the tour and don't get in the path of any crazed addicts who have made the decision to take back control of their lives. You never can tell how new found freedom is going to change a person.

nichuf,

Some of the vets around here can seem like real assholes. Well, in fact they ARE real assholes. But they're not fucking around. They are some badass quitters, and they have no patience for people who waffle around quitting. We're very serious about quitting, and wafflers just bring the group down.

Some of us may come off as rough, but these dickheads know more about quitting than you can even imagine right now.

Go back and read my intro and the responses I got. Shit. I bet if you go to the first post in ANY of these intros you'll find the same kind of stuff.

The point is, either you want to quit or you're being a huge pussy and slave to the nicotine. Shit, I'd been off chew for close to three weeks before I came here, but I was on the nicotine gum. These motherfuckers showed me that I wasn't quit if I was on the gum. The goal is to beat the nic bitch into submission. You do that by Man-ing up and posting roll every day .

SO I have a question because everytime I have tried to quit chewing my cope longcut I have never had this experience. After reading so much on the site I have a feeling it may be due to increased oxygen levels.

I am only an hour away from the 24 hour mark and during since 6am est I have been finicky, moody, and crazy. I know that is normal. But I also find myself smiling, euphoric, even questioning if I look high. That part is what is confusing the hell out of me. Don't get me wrong there are times when I want to punch a hole through a wall or tell my wife to "shut the fuck up while I cook a dinner for us." But while that is going on it feels like massive endorphines are going through my brain.

More than likely tomorrow all this is going to feel like a massive hangover. Does anyone know what the hell I am talking about???? Its wierd as hell. Normally I am only depressed, ansty, and mean. Since I use to chew so much could that be a factor. I read smokeless tobacco still messes with the amount of oxygen one gets in the body.

Oh, for the record, since I never really introduced myself. I am from Iowa, started chewing because I was an athlete and did not want to smoke at age 13. Now 32 and CHEWED 1 1/2 cans a day. Immediately loved it. Most people never noticed because my pouch in my mouth was so formed on the sides. Played the usual football, with rugby and swimming. Now live in Florida and hate many aspects because I miss pheasant hunting and what Iowas consider deer. Here in FL a deer is a cute dog.

I think you may be on to something. I have read from time to time that folks do experience certain "euphoria". Mostly, its due to this:

bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.

that's all i hear coming out of your mouth. i posted my commentary on your so-called quit 20 hours after your intro... the successful quitters stay close to this site and are actively reading, writing, and learning. that you didn't post again is telling, at least to me.

and none of this shit even matters. if you don't post roll, you're not accountable and will be back fingerbanging your can soon. maybe even now. if you post roll, you'll be amazed at the support you'll receive, but until then you just another fucktard that's thinking about trying to quit and hoping that he can make it through the day.

you don't think, try or hope here, sunshine... you quit. don't worry about extra oxygen or some shit, just post roll. post it early, and then keep your word. right now, your word don't mean shit without a promise.

post roll or fuck off.

This is a place of quitters. Here we quit, its what we do.

I find it extremely disrespectful to take up these individuals' time with your pussy talk. These people have put more effort into their quit and helping others then you will ever know. Coming to this website with a dip in is like walking into a Jewish Synagogue wearing a giant Swatstica on your face.

If you aren't ready to quit, we can't make you. But fuck off for the time being, leave the quitting to the big boys. I'm not an asshole, im blunt. You have to be if you want to get passed the nicotine addiction. Nicotine will walk all over you, pussy.

To properly post roll
-Go to the most recent post in february 2012 with a list of quitters and support
-click quote in the upper right hand corner
-click on the smaller box below the first box, which will highlight it, in the section that says "original post to quote"
-Hit ctl-a, then ctl-x
-Go up to the first box, click on the box (the bigger one) and hit ctl-v (this will paste all the information)
-Add your name to the bottom of the quitters section (not support), what day, and a msg

-Capesh??

Next time go to the welcome center first

nichuf,

congrats on posting roll... great decision. don't worry about posting roll correctly... we'll clean up after you. still, try to get it right by following the directions below or at the welcome center link above.

now the rules for posting roll:

1. post early... it's a promise for the day, not a status update ala facebook or twitter (i.e. not "hey guys i made it today").

2. keep your word. no nic for any reason.

3. repeat in the morning

things to make your quit stronger:

1. read, read, read... i read something from the words of wisdom or HoF speeches every day. you should probably do more in the beginning.

2. get involved. post in the intro section, answer folks in your quit group, post in other quit groups, go into chat, etc. the more folks you get to know the stronger your quit will be.

3. exchange cell numbers. there's no better cure for a crave than a text or call to a quit brother/sister. if you can't get to a computer to post roll, you can text or phone it in. you can be there for a friend in need. all powerful quit tools.

you've likely tried to quit in the past and failed. nic is a bitch of a drug to quit... especially alone. here you've got thousands of quitters watching your six. we've been there, we've done that. if you're going through shit, let us help you by speaking up and letting us know. that's a sign of strength, not weakness. hell, i've had to do it recently, and i'm closer to the second floor than the first.

proud to be quit with you, brother.
