Title: I QUIT
Post by: abot on August 14, 2012, 07:35:00 PM
Hello, I am Amy and I have been a smoker for 19 years. I just quit yesterday!!!! I have promised my boys for almost 4 years, after their dad (my ex husband), was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I am finally going to do it!!!!! My husband, Captainfire81 is in the October group and he is helping me in this journey.

Welcome Amy! Best choice of your life. But First make sure you're making it for the right reason...because YOU no longer want to be a slave. See, cancer is not that big of a deal for modern medicine. If you quit "for your kids," you might be tempted start up again when your ex kicks cancer's ass.

So, go to the Welcome Center link at the top and start reading. One day at a time is our new motto. Post roll, keep your word, and live nic free!

Great decision! I have been a full-time chewer and part-time smoker for 16 years. That said, I crave more than anything the smoking. Your children must be proud to see these first steps. Post roll, seek support, and stay active. Rinse and repeat.

Welcome Amy! You can kick this!
You must know the drill if your hubby is already here. Post roll daily to promise no nic, keep your promise, do it again tomorrow.
PM me if I can assist you.
