Hello,
I have been chewing for 31 years with about a 1 year break when i tried to quit 26 years ago. I quit cold turkey 11 days ago, and i have been having some strong cravings for a dip the last day and a half. I can taste the Cope and crave it when i think about it. Then i start to think about the benefits of not dipping till it passes. Googled what to expect and found this site and here i am. Name is Jeff and love to duck hunt hence Blind 3. Glad i am not trying this during duck season. Don't think i would make it. Hopefully cravings are gone before season comes back around.

Welcome. You quit 11 days ago, so your quit group is the July '17 group, which can be found here. (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/30190862/289/)
You've found the right spot for quit support. Go to your quit group, and post roll. Posting roll is the backbone of this site, and the key to your success. Learn more about posting roll here (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/10391308/1/#new), and step by step instructions here. (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/1003072/1/#new)
I'll give your group a heads up that you'll be joining them, they'll be glad you've joined.
Jump in with both feet, and drink the Kool-Aid. This place works if you're all-in. At 11 days in, you're past the worst of it. But the daily commitment (we don't take weekends, or holidays, or birthdays, or sick days off) here will help you stay the course.
Proud to quit with you.

Blind 3 --welcome to KTC-- I quit with you today. It is going to be difficult-- you already feel the symptoms associated with quitting-- they will subside over time--how long varies with each of us... hang tuff
My intro is at the bottom of this post. I also like to hunt--mostly wild hog and Whitetail.
I am 84 days quit so I haven't dealt with the hunt camp trigger either.. If you want to have my phone # send me a pm-- you can have it..for support. I dipped for more than 40 years., I am sorry to say! But No More!!!!!
I am Larry (LMcB) The Old Man
There is a lot of help out here in KTC ---USE IT!

Glad you made that call to 'kill the can'. Almost 400 days ago I made the same call, and it has been one of the best decisions ever. Like you I joined the site about 10 days into my quit... it was really strange how those cravings come and go.
Drink lots of water, make your promise not to use nic by posting roll in your group every day, and grab some digits of your quit brothers and you will be a successful quiter!

Welcome Blind 3!
Hate to burst the bubble, but you will still be trying this during duck season. Quitting doesn't end at 100 days, you've gotta keep at it well beyond that. Luckily, by the time October rolls around (September if your state has early Teal) you'll have the tools to tackle your biggest triggers - including duck hunting.
Trust me man, this one was tough for me too, but it can be done and you can do it! And look at it this way, you'll stop losing birds due to tobacco flakes gunking up your reed.

Welcome Blind!! Can't wait to see you in the July 17 HOF month posting roll!!
When you promise every day and early, stating that you won't use for the next 24 hours, its that easy!!! Don't look at it as quitting long term cause that will make it seem impossible. Promise for the next 24 hours, wake up and do it again!! This site was made for the fact that we all walk in each other's shoes but we do it in our own way. So remember, that we know what you are going through, so we are here to support you!! Use us, abuse us, whatever you need to do!!! We quit with you every day, as you quit with us, share your digits and make sure that you talk through what you are feeling! Keeping it bottled up will only make it worse, I promise you that!! My number is only pm away..
