Hi all - been chewing for about 5 years now, 23 year old female and man, this stuff sucks. I'm getting tired of being a slave to the can, wasting my hard earned money on a can a day, sneaking away from family get togethers, and hiding jugs of spit. So it's time to make the change. Thanks for letting me be a part of this community.

All right PNW! Great job posting roll. (And correctly too!) It is so awesome when new quitters just get with the program without having to be talked into it. You seem ready. Go get your quit. There are some seriously BAD ASS girl quitters here. Welcome!

What is this girls day out? Welcome aboard and keep an eye out for pinched, he's doing undercarriage searches. All joking aside this is a rough road to start out with but the accountability will lead us to success today and that's our goal.

LOL! keep the humor up! And hang in there- it gets better fast, you just have to get the poison out of your body first. 72 hours and you're there. Keep getting through it, and remember it all so you know what you NEVER want to go through again. THen, freedom will taste SO GOOD!

"23 year old female, and man this stuff sucks"
Kind of like...

Hahaha typical. English isn't really my forte, huh? Day 3 lunch time and I'm feeling overall good. Definitely feeling sleepy/buzzed but I have been being so productive the last two days to keep my mind off chewing. And all things considered, I've been a good mood all day but maybe that's just because I've been alone - no one to bother me :)

Any luck finding the source of your water woes?

Welcome to a great community of quitters and welcome to the June group. Feel free to PM me or anyone on here for that matter if you have questions or need someone to talk to.
I'm on day 7 and I can tell you that the first few days are pretty rough.
Reach out to someone here if you need encouragement and post roll as a promise to yourself daily.

Thought I would share what's going on in my life - I know I haven't been very active on the site aside from roll call in the mornings. My childhood friend has been battling cancer for the last 8 years or so and it seems that cancer is finally winning. Yesterday I saw her in hospice and her parents think she's got less than a week.
This is not affecting my quit - though I have been craving, I am not tempted at all to put that shit in my mouth and I understand that one problem + nicotine = 2 problems.
This is the first time I've ever really had to deal with anything like this. I can't say I'm sad or mad or frustrated or any one thing, it's just all kind of bunching together.
Anyways, I'll continue with roll call and I am staying quit as it is the thing holding me up the most I think right now.

please take a little time on the site when you can, learning, helping others, and building a fellowship will help your quit grow.
you definitely have the correct attitude dip fixes nothing. love your friend all you can...

Condolences to you, friend. Your quit seems very strong still, which is a great thing, but I just wanted to throw this out there from experience. My grandfather died last fall, and we were very close, and I caved around that time after having been quit for nearly 8 months. The advice I wanted to give was do everything within your power to stay quit, because you will regret caving more than anything down the line. Then, you still have to go through the suck when you quit again, and going through it is no more fun the second time. I'm truly sorry about your friend, and you have my thoughts and prayers.
