I've been dipping Copenhagen for 31 years. Started in little league baseball and am now in my 40's. I decided to quit (for myself) 18 days ago. My last dip was at 9:45 PM on Feb 15, 2014. Today is day 18. I have 3 hours and 42 minutes to go to complete this day Cope free. Rough day today but still hanging on. Glad I found this site.

Nice job CanTank! Read the Welcome Center and post roll. I'm one day behind you and chewed for 33 years, so I know it's hard. I am quit ODAAT!

Thanks MB. Good to have folks around that are experiencing the same feelings. I had no idea there were so many of us out there. We can do this!

Welcome to KTC......a few things
1. This is important to remember, we quit one day at a time or even one minute if needed. Don't worry about tomorrow or next week, just today, just this moment.
2. You/We are Nicotine Addicts and as such there is no such thing as "just one."
3. Post Roll remember that is your word, our bond, KEEP IT!
4. Be vigilant in your quit, the Nic Bitch never sleeps, so you can't either.
5. KTC will save your life if you apply it. We are here with you in your quit and together we always win if the plan is followed!
I quit with you today Sir!

Welcome aboard. Post Roll every day and keep your word. I'm on day 15, so I certainly haven't earned the right to judge, but it's a great way to put yourself out there to your brothers on a daily basis.
Also add info as you go to your info page. Keep it as a diary of sorts. An experienced member gave me that advice, and I found that as more people connected with my story, my network of support grew. And we'll continue to need each other for a long time.
Reach out if you need anything. Quitting today with you.

Hang in there can-tank!
I used for 36 years and am quit for 27 days.
Everything you need is here. Except maybe some seeds or fake chew.
Quit on! We can do it ODAAT!
Glad to quit with you today!

Good luck. I am still feeling my way around this site. I am 9 days in and it's not easy but this is one more source of motivation.

For you and Andy both I know your new so I'm not being critical just honest. No luck is involved in quitting. 100% determination and accountability!
In the past we failed for multiple reasons; because of multiple failures we lost confidence, we misunderstood our addiction (thinking it was a bad habit), we failed to take responsibility (blamed others), we always planned to quit just not today, and it was easier to lie to ourselves and others than face the truth. I will support you and every other quitter that takes responsibility for their quit.
Quitting sucks but everyone of us that have been here past 100 days and have drank deep of the quit koolaid can and will tell you that the brotherhood of KTC will lead to success because we hold each other accountable for their daily promise.

Well I'm still here. Day 19 Cope free, day 2 with the group. Just posted roll call for my first time. I want to be held accountable. No...I need to be held accountable. I know that I can never have another dip for the rest of my life. If I do, this has all been for nothing.
On a positive note, I was just reflecting about the past couple of days. I went and watched the Braves play spring training games on Monday and Tuesday (days 16 17). Those two days were the first time I had stepped foot in a baseball stadium in 31 years, as a young player or a spectator, without Copenhagen. It was odd, and I left a heaping pile of peanut hulls and sunflower seeds at my feet, but I did it. That was a huge victory for me and motivates me to continue my battle.
I loved you Cope, but I'm done with you.

Don't put an end date to it. The rest of your life can be discouraging. I quit today and only today. I will worry about tomorrow when it gets here. I have faith in ya. Facing your fear, training camp without Nic, is awesome. Quit with ya today.

One day at a time!! Post roll every damn day, get involved in chat and with people in your quit group. Not easy, but it's not complicated. If I can do it, anyone can

Finishing up day 19 of being tobacco and nicotine free. Today was a much better day for me. I wasn't nearly as cantankerous as yesterday. I experienced a couple urges but they passed quickly. Not sure why today was so much better than yesterday but I'll take it......ODAAT, right guys? Looking forward to tomorrow and a nice long life. :D See you at roll call.
-
Hey Can, finishing day 19 myself. Like you I had a good day with a couple craves, but they didn't last too long. ODAAT. Quit Shitbirds!
