Title: Day 1
Post by: Pisc19 on March 18, 2013, 09:40:00 PM
Took my last ever dip out today at around 8 PM. Ive known that this day was coming and just kept putting it off.

Im 19 years old a college baseball player. Ive been dipping a can a day for about 3.5 years. My mouth always has sores and the dip burns a hole in my pocket.

Ready to Quit!!!

Welcome to ktc Pisc19 and congrats on making the best decision possible and throwing that evil ass can to the curb. The first days are always the worse but it does get better. All the nicotine should be out of your system in around 72 hours and after that its the crazy mind games that the nic bitch will play. Use all of the resources that are available to you and do whatever it takes to stay away from dip. Go buy yourself some sunflower seeds, gum, hard candy, mints, tooth picks or fake chew and keep it close to you for when the cravings really hit hard. If you need anything at all feel free to pm me. I quit with you today.

Welcome Mike, you sound like you may have the right stuff. This is your quit and we are your support group, go quit then. We are much like your baseball team, we are accountable to each other. When you screw up we take it personally and will bust your balls. Post roll every day. Spend some time hear and read up.

Listen to KKL there man, you have joined the top team in the quit biz.

and from in the chat where I thought I saw you said you played 3rd base, well your quit and the lady nic bitch will be comming at you fast and hot so be ready just like you are on that hot corner. Read up on the site here ask questions so just like in the game you will be ready to know what to do when that ball comes to you as the feelings will sometimes come at you like a bullet and other times will creep up on you.

Be strong and you got this. Yell if you need anything.

There is another quitter around here that quit right before/during the baseball season. Hopefully, he'll show up.

Just take it one minute, hour, day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow. I'm sure you'll be surrounded by a lot of temptation for other guys on the team, just hang in there, it will get better.
