Title: Day 7
Post by: aikiguy on August 10, 2018, 09:13:00 AM
I took my first dip in 1976. Essentially I transferred my nicotine carrier from smokes to chew after what I think was the very first great American Smoke-out on November 18, 1976. What a waste after all these years. I've stopped 2 or 3 times in my 40+ years of tobacco bondage. I've used "Cope," Grizzly, and Skoal. When those trashed my lip I moved to pouches and even Oliver Twist hoping the more "natural" European brands would be kinder. My last use was a pouch of General's Original. I can't say that any day since day one has been tolerable. When I feel the big itch or reach for the "box" I recall how the tobacco thief stole the control of my mind's emotions and neuro-chemicals.
Glad to be part of this group.

Welcome Aikiguy,

You've made a very wise decision to quit nicotine. Here at KTC we quit on a daily basis. The premise is simply wake up, piss, post your promise not to use nicotine for the next 24 hours and repeat daily.

If you are a man of your word, then keeping a promise every day should not be too difficult.

You can find your quit group here November Quit Group (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/30657749/94/#new)

Go to this page and follow the instructions at the top to post roll.

Check your inbox for a PM from me with my digits and welcome to the site.

205 days nicotine free and Proud to Quit with you today

Post roll brother. That's how we stay quit, and is the price of admission to this otherwise free resource.
