Title: ex army ranger- quiting on veterans day
Post by: RLTW 2/75 on November 09, 2014, 09:19:00 PM
Just found this site, it might be what I need.
Army Rangers from 03-09. Have been dipping for 10 years a can a day. I've tried everything. I'm going to taper off next 2 days and then I'm done. Fucking cold turkey. Can you help me?

Damn straight we can help you but you need to quit right now and be on day two on 11/11. We post roll call here and you can read how to do it on the welcome center. It's an easy process that you'll pick up without a problem. We all help each other here. All we ask is that you be honest to yourself and us. You will be in the February 2015 quit group because you will reach 100 days or HOF in February. Just quit right now and flush all your supply down the shitter. All you need is the brotherhood and accountability that KTC provides.

You really should flush it all right now and post day 1. Don't wait. Tapering just makes you miserable for longer. Start the misery now. You're gonna be miserable while tapering anyway. Plus you're here. Read everything. DO NOT PUT ANYMORE NICOTINE IN YOUR BODY. QUIT NOW!

Alright, I'll flush it down right now. I'm all in. I'll try and figure out how to post roll call with my phone.

I post roll with my iPhone almost exclusively. I actually prefer it to a PC.

Nice work bro. Welcome aboard. Load up on seeds, gum, fireballs, water. You are in the right place. Put in the effort and you will succeed. Post day 1 tonight, right now. And post day 2 when you wake up tomorrow. Then just stay quit.

Congrats!!!!!

For starters from one Vet to another, thank you for your service brother! Make KTC your home for a while. Read, read and read some more. Post roll first thing everyday, make friends, get #'s and stay quit! Welcome.

All in with you brother. I'd've been ok with your quit date being the Marine Corps birthday though but no time like the present - unless you're Matthew McConnaughey - (go see Interstellar). Have some fake dip on hand but see if you can go without. If you're having a hard time and go to WalMart to get some Smokey Mountain fake dip, I guarantee you'll see somebody with bigger problems than you so it's a twofer.

Love the passion army dog, but don't post personal shit like your phone number publicly. Use the PM system to trade that kind of info.

This is, after all, the interwebs. Weirdos come here. You don't want weirdos with your phone number.

On another note, thank you for your service. Best decision you ever made was to spit that shit out.

Don't be afraid to reach out to an old Leatherneck if you need help. No shame in it.

Welcome.

Alright hard core, don't let your resolve down. Things are going to get worse before they get better, but you and I both know you've been thrown in the fire and excelled before in life and you can do it again.

Day 5 wasn't easy. None of them have been easy. But like you said it's all about excelling towards the main goal. By any means necessary.
