To be honest IÂ’ve wanted to quit for a few years now. It is ridiculous how much of a part of life this has become and quite honestly IÂ’m tired of the sore gums and pain. ItÂ’s been three days now and I guess that getting a bad cold helped with giving it up because IÂ’ve been sick thru the withdrawal period. This time itÂ’s for good all it does is wear you down slowly but surely and itÂ’s not worth the consequences. IÂ’d rather be around for my family in years to come not cut up from cancer. IÂ’m on my way goodbye Cope!!!

Hi Dave,
Welcome to the KTC Forum. Congrats on quitting. You should join the May 2018 HOF group. May is the month you will have 100 days free from nicotine.
Everyday when you get up, you post Roll. This is your promise to yourself and everyone in the KTC community that you will not use nicotine that day. Everyday you make that promise. This is a one day at a time (ODAAT) kind of place. IF you can make it one day, then you come back and make it the next day and so on.
I chewed Skoal and Grizzly for 31 years, 3 cans a day. I am 22 days Quit and feel so much better about myself (not to mention the money I'm saving). Yes I have bad days, as does every single person on this forum, but that's what this place is for. You can come in here and rant and rave all you want, and you will receive the support you need. Once you get signed up in your quit group, get some phone numbers of other members and give them yours, that way if you are about to cave, you can call them instead and they can help get through.
We are all in this together brother.
If you have any problems figuring out how to navigate to your group, just ask.
Chris

You want to quit. That is THE start. THE beginning. You have to WANT it.
Your QUIT must become a noun, not a verb. Own it. Your quit.
It must be as important as anything else in life. Not more important, but as important. Keep it in perspective.
Explore this site. There is wisdom here. Enough wisdom to help you maintain your quit. There are people here too. Real people, who went through, or are going through, what you are going through. What it takes to quit.
Stick with it, but only for today. Don't worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow is out there. Today is here.
Quit today.
