I found this forum yesterday after a google search for "Quit dipping brain fog" after a visit to a neurologist. I started my quit on January 13th of this year. I kind of cheated as I decided to use Chantix to take the edge off and the Chantix did help. The first four weeks were not easy, but very manageable. So with things going so well, I decided to quit taking the Chantix cold turkey. 3 days later(Feb. 11), I had extreme brain fog set in. Over the course of the next 2 weeks, I had anxiety and 2 bad episodes of de-realization. I freaked out, started taking Chantix again and went to a doctor. Since then I have had blood work, brain MRI, sleep study, visit with ENT and on this past Monday, a neurologist(Docs have not found anything abnormal yet). The neurologist did say it was probably my body trying to find a new equilibrium after quitting. This brain fog has freaked me out, I never tied it to my quitting nicotine because the 2 times I tried quitting before(both times around 6 months) I did not experience anything like this and that the brain fog did not set in until week 4. After finding this site, I feel encouraged that it is just my body trying to adjust to a nic free life.
Has anyone else had it last this long(I'm on day 62)? I still have it 24 hours a day and it does not seem to be letting up?

I never had anything quite to the extent that you've outlined. What I can tell you is -
I dipped for 24 years. Before this 419 day and counting quit, I had two multi-week half assed weak attempts to stop dipping. Each time the pull back to nicotine was more intense. It took more work to stay nicotine-free when I was 43 than it did when I was 28 and 33. That's why I will not cave. I don't want to go through that shit again, knowing it would be worse the next time.
I encourage you to jump in to this site with both feet. You will be in the April '17 group found here (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/30106725/990/). The group is pretty well gelled, but I'm sure they would welcome you with open arms, and help you get through this.
You've been quit two months. You had two previous six month stoppages. You know you're not safe from nicotine's pull yet. This group can keep you quit. Go to your group, learn how to post roll. Introduce yourself. Guys will trip over themselves offering help.

Fog is normal even pretty late in the quit, although it usually comes in phases, rather then lasting 24/7. I will say that regardless of the medical situation, staying quit will not be bad for you.
It sounds like you've met with some doctors to rule some stuff out, so I would suggest hanging tight and doing your best to tough it out until you pull through the fog. See if you feel any different after 100 days, 100+
The only way to quit is one day at a time, so focus on what's in front of you and get to the next day. The groups here can really help you do that and even though you're 62 days in, you'd have a group here that would welcome you with all kinds of support.

I know Chantix fucks with your head. I tried that stuff before.
I'm not sure you're suppose to quit that shit cold turkey!
That could be part of the issue.
But whatever the cause, hang tough man...
It's GOT to be better in the end! That's what I'm banking on!

Thanks guys. I do plan on sticking to the quit, and it will be easier with the support of KTC. Just reading some of the post of past quitters has helped with my situation.

Today is all that matters.
We all have managed to scrape a string of todays together in a row. You need to get all the crap out of your body, once and for all. By using chantix you have delayed the suck. Rip the band aid off, my friend, and embrace what comes. You will have about 3 to 5 days of physical withdrawls, then its over. Never again for any reason.
You got this, we can do anything for a day.
