Title: Day 2
Post by: Bombsquad61 on February 07, 2017, 12:38:00 PM
I found this site today. It was good timing, because my quit day was yesterday.
Been doing this stuff for 9.5 yrs now and need to quit. I don't want to be tied to it anymore. No more feeling cuffed to the addiction.

I know it will not be easy, and I ask for your help. Help me break this habit. I promise not to cave.

Hell yeah, Bombsquad!! Way to take that leap. Just remember to take it one day at a time. Make that promise early so that you are not tempted to cave before doing so. If you are a man of you word, like I know you are, once you make that promise for the day there is not turning back.

Rinse.

Repeat.

Do this daily and voila, you found the secret of KTC. Promise early for the day, keep that promise. That easy, yet so damn hard.

Reach out if you need extra support!

So what's your plan my friend?

Plan right now is pretty simple.

1. Promise to myself I won't do it again.
2. Don't put the shit in my lip
3. Suffer and stay strong haha

Sounds pretty good. Get some of the numbers in the May '17 group. I will be sending you a PM shortly.

If you need someone to talk you down from the crave ledge or whatever, just text.

Quitting is easy, its staying that way that is hard. BUT, they say it gets easier.

Yep, get some numbers, and post roll daily. Buckle down for a few days and then experience the freedom!

Day 25 - Quarter of the way to HOF day

Had some ups and downs. The first 5 days were absolutely miserable. The craves, fog, and irritability made it pretty rough. But then things started to clear up. I was excited about not being tied to a can and found pleasure in doing things for the first time in a long time without a dip: plane ride, long car ride, going to a movie, drinking a coffee and not keeping the to go cup as a spitter.

The three things that made the first 25 days a success were
1. Support from family- my brother is quitting smoking with me at the same time (not on this site and not interested)
2. KTC - a couple of people really reached out and have helped me out a lot
3. Sunflower seeds and gum- new best friends.

I'll say the weirdest part about quitting is the the dreams. In my dreams I've been dipping at my wedding in the church, eating chew, and been chased by the KGB while dipping. Weird shit.
