Hello everyone. My name is Rob, IÂ’m 102 days late on joining this site. But I have followed along everyday since I have discovered it, and to be honest if it wasnÂ’t for this site I would not have made it this far. IÂ’ve chewed for 12 years and decided I wanted to break free from these chains before I turn 30. Anyways hope your day went well, for whoever is reading this . Take care.

Hey Rob - hello and welcome! As far as I can tell, it looks like you found your quit group :)

Congratulations on staying quit over the past 3+ months - I'm glad that you were able to get something from KTC.

I've got to ask, though - after all that time, what made you decide to decloak and chime in?

Welcome Rob88! One of my brothers in October 2016, Big Clint, joined us after 100 days of quit, so there is most certainly precedent for joining late. If your quit goes anything like mine, you just may encounter tough funks and bumps in the road ahead. So reach out and exchange digits if you are comfortable with it, build a network, start supporting the guys and gals in the 2018 months.

Welcome to KTC. Wow, you have already hit the hof (100 days) before joining the group. Congratulations.

You are already experienced in your quit but I will share this with you.

The main way to be successful is to just decide that you have quit. Once you stop the negotiating in your head as to whether you will do one more or not the rest becomes far more simple.

Next, you will learn to distract your attention from your desire for a dip to anything else that interests you. This ability to change your focus will guarantee your success and make your quit that much easier.

When you place a dip in your mouth, your brain releases sugars. Well, those sugars are now going to be gone.

However, you can replace them with OJ or other fruit juices with sugar. This will provide some comfort, especially in your initial quit days.

Make sure to exercise with weights and cardio when you feel that nagging tension in your muscles, you feel that rage, when you can not sleep and when you cannot focus. Exercise really helps.

Here is one that most people overlook. Get at least 3 square meals a day. Hunger can really bring on those urges so squash those urges before they come. Eat full healthy meals and do not let yourself get excessively hungry. You will see this helps a great deal.

I waited until I was 59 quit after using tobacco for 40 years. You are wise to quit now.

Thanks, yeah I found my quit group, took a bit. IÂ’m still trying to figure out how these forums work. Hard to on a little phone screen lol. i thought about joining for awhile but nomore58? I think really persuaded me on chat. It would of made things easier for me if I just did it sooner, this white knuckle healing was hard

Thanks for the advice Dundippin! Any piece of advice helps. Been a long road so far. I think IÂ’ve read everyone of your post on the site. My biggest thing is still anxiety and depression. Need to exercise more and lose these 15 pounds or so I put on.

Thank u FLLIP , means a lot. How many days in are you? I never in my life would think quitting would be this damn hard, I always thought IÂ’d be in top shape after a month. I truly understand how addiction works.

Rob - You are crushing it man...WAY TO GO!! Glad that you have the posting roll thing down and hopefully you have plenty of digits by now (including mine). Please use them any time!! We are psyched to have you in our Dec 2017 quit group and my only advice is keep diving deeper into KTC...the more you read and invest the stronger your quit will be. Keep up the great work! 4TW
