Hey guys,
I am new here, and ready to be free of this evil shit. I haven't dipped too long (1 year give or take), but it has taken my life over (and my wallet). I got started from some forestry friends, and took off. So, I am here to dedicate myself to a dip-free life and to a healthy mouth. Day one, baby! Thanks to xrmattaz for hooking me up with this site. Great to have friends in similar situations out there...
See you all on the boards!

Really nice to meet you today, Jake.
We're all in the same boat, but now you know what to do.

I'll be around for sure. The cravings are bad today. But, it is day one. Gotta fight through it. I AM HERE TO QUIT!

Yeah Day One is a real pain in the ass. It does get better though. Like the others will tell you, embrace the suck! Remember what this feels like and how you don't want to go through it again! During my own ongoing quit, the first 4 days were the hardest. Once I got over the physical addiction it got easier. Easier in the sense that I no longer had physical feelings to get my fix. What has been strange to me is the psycological aspect. I find myself rationalizing a decision to dip on my way back from the bathroom at work, only to get back to my desk and ask myself, "What the hell was I thinking, I quit today!" It's a little hard to explain out in this medium, but my point is that most of the suck you feel is a strong combination of physical and psycological. Once the physical bitch dies, it starts to get easier. Just don't forget, quit again each morning, post roll, keep your word, and be accountable to your peers. Glad to quit with you!
