I'm ccwittk2 and I have been chewing Skoal for 15 years. I started in college and it snowballed from there. Last month before I made the decision that I was going to quit, I was chewing 2 can a day.
I made the decision to quit, because I'm scared. I have two daughters under the age of 3, and I'm scared that I won't be around for the special moments in their lives if I continue to chew. I want to be there for them, so I choose them over tobacco.
As I write this, I've survived 24 hrs without a chew. Hard candy and the herbal snuff has helped alleviate the habit of chewing, but I'm feeling the cravings right now. My arms and body feel "tingley", I'm definitely on edge (as my wife could attest), and I feel like I'm in a little bit of a fog. Honestly, I'm anxious to go to bed and sleep.

Pound the water CC. It's gonna be a ride for the next 2-3 days. Stay close to this site, post roll call every day, get snuggly with your September group, and quit like fuck today.

Try getting snuggly with your wife! That works too.

You've been poisoning yourself for 15 years. Your body needs to adjust, and it will, but it's going to SUCK! We've all been thru the suck ourselves so seek out any advice you may need. Read other peoples posts and you will quickly realize how much we all have in common. POST ROLL and make that daily promise to yourself and others on KTC that you will not use tobacco for the rest of the day. Go to bed thinking about what you accomplished today for both yourself and your girls, wake up, and post roll again tomorrow.
I have 2 little girls myself so I know EXACTLY what you're feeling and going thru. If you need anything, send me a PM.

Thanks spence! Today has been rough, but my resolve is still going. Not looking forward to another night of the sweats and waking up every couple hours.

I'm with ya bro. Day 2 for me, and sunflower seeds, gum, and water, and chocolate are pretty much my things right now. Do it man! I am not going back to that disgusting crap ever again and either are you!

Thanks landdon! Day 3, and I feel like I'm starting to come out of it a little. I don't feel as tingly or in quite as much of a fog.

Takes time to re-wire to freedom...my first year I was a raging mad man.
KTC saved my life, period
Today I am free. Tomorrow I will be free again.
