Hello quitters,
My name is Gary. Im 40 years old and have been a slave to the Cope for over 20 years. Here in the past couple of years I have been knocking out 2 cans a day. Today is Day 3 for me. I know how difficult quitting can be, but I know I will never dip again!

Good decision on kicking your nicotine habit to the curb. This site can help. We don't use words like try or hope as they are just another excuse for our addictive brains to tell us anohter lie. There are no short cuts, but here are some links that will help you navigate this site.
This a a NO NICOTINE SITE, period, no discussion. Why this Site Works (http://www.killthecan.org/about/why.asp)
Biggest thing to do is get acquainted with this site.
Highly recommend you go here: WELCOME CENTER (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showforum=13) and Getting acclimated (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=7614)
Your quit decision MUST be 100% your decision. Anything short of that sets you up for failure by allowing your addict brain to blame a given situation as reason for you to go back to the can
What happend after you joined in Sept last year?

I joined the site, but didn't quit. I don't have an excuse. This past weekend, I really started reading as much as possible on this site. I quit this past Tuesday and am totally committed. I am posting Roll everyday and will remain accountable to my fellow quitters.

you can do it, it sucks for a little while but worth it by far. i'm on day 29 and my life feels like its back to normal minus the chewing. i set up a appointment to go see the dentist which ive avoided for the last 7 or 8 years, looking forward to a living a healthier lifestyle without nicotine

you won't be "fixed" in 30 days but it'll be a hell of a lot better than day 3. Nice to have you here, if you want another number shoot me a pm.

Welcome to ktc and congrats on quitting. The first few days are always the worst but it does get better for sure. If you need anything at all just pm me. I quit with you today.

Great choice. The first few days suck hard and then things slowly get better. Just keep posting roll and keep your promise to stay nicotine free. Feel free to reach out if you need anything, my contact info is on the spreadsheet. Great to have you as a fellow quitter in the June Quit group.

Welcome to the June group JayHay. We have a good group of quitters in there and are always looking for another strong one. I suggest beefing up your intro so you have something to look back on as the reasons behind your quit when things get tough.
I quit with you today.

Wow! Thanks for the info and the welcome. Starting nights tonight, so some new triggers I'm sure. I have been feeling good so far. Craves have been plenty, but nothing I can't handle. Day 4 today! Can't wait to post roll on another day!
