Well, as I look around the site, I see that alot of people are introducing themselves to each other. Makes sense since these will be the people helping my along through this process, so here goes.
My name is Jeff, and I am addicted to nicotine. I have dipped at least a can a day for 13 years now, and I have finally decided that it is time to stop. I have never been one to deal with failure very well, so my previous quit attempts were half assed at best. This time is different though. As I watch my 8 year old step son spitting everywhere because he thinks its cool, I realize that I am already well on the way to harming him. Now I must work to reverse the damage I have done to him, which means that I have to start with myself. I have decided to quit, and today was the first day of my quit! I made it, albeit with a whole pack of gum and a roll of life savers, but better than giving in to the NIC bitch, as I have seen referenced here more times than I can count. Bring it on, cause Im finally ready to beat this shit!

Check your (Inbox 1) upper right corner of your screen. Read it. Understand it. Then go post roll giving your word of honor that you will not use nicotine in any way shape or form for today.
Do it again first thing in the morning.

KD5, Repete - you're at the right place to make this successful. Post your role early - it will help to remind you and will bind you to your word - which we all expect is reliable. Damn, time flies by faster and faster as I get older. Seems like only yesterday I stumbled in this fine establishment and posted up my quit. That was 1,034 days ago. Best damn decision I ever did make.
If your reading this, trying decide if today is the right time to get quit, trust me...it is! There is no better time than right the fuck now, and TOMORROW WILL NEVER COME!
As for me, I'll see everyone tomorrow! Gotta be here to post my 1035!
