Good morning all! Im new and this is day 4 for me. I have been chewin for over 20yrs and I am 42 yrs old. It is time for me to take back some control. I have some idea how this works being that I am twelve years sober. I have to be honest and say that the first few days have been a bear and I don 't think I was this angry and grumpy when I gave up the booze. Man this stuff is worse than some of the drugs I have kicked years ago. I work two jobs and both are kinda high stress with a lot of detail and im having a really hard time getting my work done and not screwing up numbers.
Glad to see this site is here and look forward to becoming part of a great group.

Welcome Clay. I also quit after 21 years of dipping and work in finance. On day three I think I stared at my computer all day and did no work, it was brutal. I had trouble focusing and was ready to give up. You are in the fog and the more it sucks the more you will never want to go through it again. Remember how you feel today and embrace it. Your brain is rewiring itself and freaking out that you are not feeding it nicotine. I never understood the science of nicotine addiction until i started reading through this site. I would also recommend you use the live chat room, that continues to be a life saver for me. The good news is everyone hear has been through what you are going through and can help you get past it. Congrats on finding this community.

KTC has been the difference for me and many others, and if you follow the plan it will work for you as well. Read everything here, welcome center, HOF speeches, cancer stories, words of wisdom, and read a few intro threads from the beginning. All the knowledge you need is here. You are already past the hardest days which is awesome! If you are on day 4 there is no reason to not get to day 5. Focus your anger and rage at UST and the poison weed that they sell. Vent your anger here if you need to. PM me if you need anything.

Welcome Clay! I'm quit with you today, bro. I recommend you click on the pink-ish "WELCOME CENTER" link at the top of this page and learn about the site, especially learn how to post roll. Then do so!
There's lots of other good info around this site, and lots of good folks who have been there / done that. So dont be afraid to reach out, ask questions, or just vent, or whatever you need to stay quit.

Great choice, Rob. Rickdd said it...go to the Welcome Center link above and start reading. Learn how and why we post roll. Then do it.
ONE DAY AT A TIME, is all you need to focus on. We'll worry about tomorrow, next week or whatever when they get here. But just focus on living free today!

You will find your quit here if you bring your best. This place IS the difference. Cost to you? Post roll daily. That's it

Clay,
Welcome aboard and check your inbox. We have some scary similarities that go even beyond this quit. My digits included also.

Hey all... I started dipping on 11/9/1996... Stopped yesterday 1/22/14.
Thats really hard to say... I had quit once before (with this websites help) for almost 9 months back in 2010... This time is really the end.
Anyhow, just wanted to say hello...I am jumping in the May quit group... Let's do this guys!

I am rather new here. Did you just say you quit here before and then caved and then are back? Just checking. Gotta know who I am talking to....I don't waste time on my quit so I was just checking. I give 100% to my quit and the quit of others in this house. I need to know where to direct my energy with you.

G hit it on the money... You have some 'splaining to do.
This needs to be moved into your own thread so we can leave Clay's uncluttered.
You obviously didn't learn much the last go 'round.
What happened?... Why did it happen?... What are you going to do differently?
Dig deep for your answers.
