Names Stuart,
I'm 33 and have used tobacco in one form or another for 17 years. At my worst it was 2-3 cans a day, lately it has been about 1 a day. I've tried quitting many times and have failed. Found this site just browsing for ways to quit chew and started reading. This may be the support I have needed. My family and wife don't know the addiction and temptations that drag us users back into the habit. You all do!
Tomorrow will be my Day 1.
Time for a new life, Tobacco free! Too much depending on me not killing myself early.

Let's rephrase as few things.
You're 33 and a nicotine addict of 17 years. You've failed quitting on your own. By the grace of God you were brought to Kill The Can. This IS the support you need. Your family is fully aware of the time and money nicotine has stolen from your life. We are a brotherhood of successful quit.
Today is your Day 1.
Now it's time to take back your life! You've been giving the Grim Reaper a head start for 17 years.
In 44 minutes, it'll be exactly 14 weeks on the nose that I tossed the can for good. No need to wait until tomorrow what you can do today.
Spit out your dip. Throw away the can. And, get your ass over to the September 2011 quit group, post your Day 1 and meet your brothers..

As I typed that post I felt weird doing so with a dip in my lip. soon as I hit send I spit it out and dumped a fresh can of Cope in the toilet. Now instead of sitting on my couch with a dip in, I have a bag of seeds.

Welcome to the quit brother. You just made the best decision of your life. This is not another "attempt". This is your quit. Take it one day at a time. Read everything you can. Reach out when the suck gets at ya. You got to get on top of it. You can do this.

Perfect. Post roll and make this day 1. You can go hit the sack and post day 2 in the morning. Pretty damn easy huh?

Welcome, Stuart. I'm 33 as well and have maybe 3 more years on you for dipping tenure, but you got me at cans per day. No matter, this is the site for you if you're serious.
Tomorrow, your new life free from the chains of tobacco begins.
Get some rest.

Welcome Stuart.
Stuart and Jimmy,
I want you guys to note that no matter how many cans you used or for how long every one of us is facing the exact same withdrawal and addiction. A guy that uses one can a week is just as addicted as a guy that used 2 cans a day. I know it doesn't seem logical but that is the way it works.
But for both of you keep the shit up! Post every day and keep jumping in to help people.
