Hello everyone. My name is George and I have dipped for 7 years. I've tried quitting countless times in the past but this time I have made a plan that builds on my previous failures. As much as I know what to expect, I'm sure this time will be the toughest but it'll be well worth it.
I got my shipment of Nip Energy Dip in the mail today, and am dipping a pinch of that now. Hopefully the caffeine will have a similar enough effect to the nicotine to keep me from completely pulling my eyebrows out.
My biggest problem in the past was that I didn't hold myself accountable to anyone, and always fell back in the grind when I had my triggers.
And so it begins..

Hey Batman. Welcome to KTC. What matters around here is that you want to quit for you. As you may suspect, most of the 16,000 boys and girls on this site are pretty hard core quitters that donÂ’t want to listen to any reasons, excuses or rationale for using nicotine. And they wonÂ’t listen no matter how hard you sugar coat it. What they will do is provide you with the tools to quit and help you along that rough patch of track. They will be there for you every step of the way to freedom. They will be there when you are hurting, when you are in the suck, when you feel like raging, venting or just talking to someone on the phone. Around here, we call that Brotherhood. Join us today and you too will become a part of that select family of quitters. Put it off and the regrets will continue. Joining us means you will do a few things. First and foremost, you will need to post Roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the January 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. The reason you are put in January is that will be the month if you join us today that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date.
Now that you know the basics, it is time to read all you can on this site. Go to the welcome center tab at the top of this screen and that will get you started. Post roll and look up at your inbox (1). That is a personal message from me with my telephone number. Glad to see you took control of your life. Wayne

Nice job of posting roll George. Don't worry about double posting or anything else, as roll is going to be messed up at first. The most important aspect of posting roll is actually doing it early each day...rain or shine. Again, nice job.

Awesome to have your bad ass quitting with us George. You've made a great decision. Buckle up strap yourself in its gonna suck pretty damn bad for a few days. If you want to be quit bad enough you can do it. We all did, just like Catty said all 16000 of us. Use this site the very way it is intended. Don't try to change the program, it works. Your a bad ass for posting roll. I am quitting with you in this very moment. Erussell day 161.

Just like you said you have to number 1 quit for yourself, if it's accountability you are needing also... well you found it here. I wake up to messages every morning, from veterans to the brothers of 14. We all want to see each other succeed. The formula is simple. We just want you to quit for one day, and then repeat. Today you posted roll and I quit with you. Let's quit the bitch together.

Welcome George, all the best to you. The accountability on this site is huge, the more you read get involved the better it works. PM me if you need anything.

Just wanted to warn you about your caffeine intake. Remember that while you were using you used double the caffeine to get the same results as a non user. Now that you are quit you will need less and feel the same results.

Agreed. EVERYTHING will have a more pronounced effect because your reaction isn't being dulled by nicotine. Alcohol will have a more significant result, so I had to completely quit drinking for a while. Couldn't risk it killing my quit. Emotional responses will be crazy for a while. Anger, sadness, joy...... all of them hit me hard. I was an emotional basket case for a couple months, and eventually learned that it's pretty common. I've seen grown men overcome with emotion during this process. Some of them were badasses. There is no shame in that... especially while fighting this battle.

Nice job of posting Day 2 roll this morning George. I was just checking up on you to see that things are still going as planned for you. You have my number if you ever need to use it. Congrats again.

Thanks, Wayne. So far I've just been tired, hungry, and a shorter fuse, but it makes it easier knowing why I'm feeling that way and that it will only last a certain amount of time. One day at a time, then repeat makes it easy enough.

Thanks for all the support everyone. Competition is my best motivation and if so many guys on here have made it to the 1 year mark, then so can I.

Nice to see you in roll call this morning. Text or call if you need to. Have a great day dude

Best to just make it one day at a time. Way more people will be quit today than those bad asses 365+... I will be quit all day long with you.

I agree with this ^^^^ guy. Bro, take it one day at a time. Your in a marathon not a sprint. Your just as quit as me and matt here. The only difference is we make it through the day a little easier because we have stacked up those 1's. The fact is we're all 5$ (or more) and 5 minutes away from slavery to the poison once again. You will do this one day at a time with determination and drive. Post roll and keep your word.
