As I walked out of my last college class for the night, I walked up to my girlfriend and chucked my grizzly right into the trash. The times now. I started chewing my last week of my freshman year of college, as exam stress got the best of me. I found a new way to study and keep my cool, but nowadays it's the only way to keep my cool. I'm sick of how it has ran my life for the past 5 months, and the amount of money i've wasted just to get the craving I need. Being grumpy, an asshole, and just a flat out jerk when I'm craving for a dip is just not even right. It's taken it's toll not only on me, but others i care about. Being in college, with hardly no money, and having an addiction is something I do not need and certainly don't want anymore. I'm gonna buck it up and make the commitment to stick to the promises I've given to my girlfriend. I'm so glad I found this site. My quits now.

ATTA BOY ANDY!!!
You will never regret your decision. You have the balls and the brains to know at an early age that this shit is bad. Your girlfriend will thank you but more importantly your body and mind will thank you.
I'm just a little newbie here, 11 days into my quit. So the only advice I will give you is this...
Read as much as possible on this site.
Go to the Dec quit group and learn how to post roll every day.
Remember that EVERYONE here knows what your going through.
And lastly- DON'T PUT THAT SHIT IN YOUR MOUTH!!!!
Rock on Brother, look forward to seeing you in the Dec group!!

Thats awesome dude! At least it only took you 5 months to make a decision that most of us took many years to make. Get some gum, mint dip, etc. and stay quit. Hopefully when your girl saw you chunk your tin in the trash she rewarded you with some "quit dip sex".
Stay quit

Andy - promises to the girl are fine. BUT you have to quit for you. One of these days she's gonna piss you off and the nic bitch will whisper in your ear "let's show her, let's get a can". You'll think it's one can, I'm mad, I'll stop after that.
So make sure you quit for you, everyday. NOW when you post up your word, you are promising all of us (girl friend included) that for today, nic is off the table.
Then you must be a man of your word.
You quit for you, others benefit by your wise decision. I'll quit with you today.
Welcome to the nic free zone, you are now free to move about the cabin.

Well, I've been smoking cigarettes for about over a year before I got into dipping. I don't need any of that shit in my life anymore. Way too much money to spend, and it's just damn right not going to help me out in life (like it ever has). And RWM, I am quitting for myself, not just for the others around me. I have the police academy in about two years, so if i can't handle stress now, how the hell will i then? It's ridiculous lol. Bottom line the tobacco is out of bounds from here on out, forever. That's how I'm finally realizing to look at it. The times now. As of now I'm feeling okay but not perfect on day 1, but am looking forward to the rest of the day. Have a good day guys
