Welcome! The September Samurai Quit Group will be your home once you decide to quit. It is based on the month you will achieve 100 days clean. Visit the Samurai Quit Group page to learn how to post roll call every day. topic/11155274/#new/

Your official first day will be the first day you post roll call, which is a commitment to yourself and each of your quit brothers/sisters that you are clean for that day. So get over to the Samurai Quit Group and post roll today. Why wait?

Your job is to honor your quit one day at a time. Just get thru today my friend...Do not cave in to the cravings. And then tomorrow morning, post roll again and repeat that every damn day.

I can tell you the first few days suck, but by Day 10+, things start to get a lot easier. Drink lots of water and/or cranberry juice. Exercise and sweat out the toxins. Stay away from alcohol for the next couple weeks so it doesn't weaken your resolve. It'll take 3 days for the nicotine to physically get out of your system, and then the real mental battle starts fighting the cravings. You can do this. I was a dipper for 38 years and am now proud to be clean for 15 days today.

Proud to quit with you. PM me anytime that you need help. Also, people here share their cell numbers, especially during the first few weeks because I promise you that you are going to want to text or call someone when you start having a craving. Really, really helps to have someone in your corner at that moment.

Lastly, check out the LIVE CHAT (in the upper right corner of your screen). There are always some folks in there ready to help or just talk. Proud to quit with you!!! Well done! Hope you join us. It will be the best decision of your life.

Pudgy gopher,
Great decision to quit. You have everything to lose if you don't!!!
You are in the right place, this site will help you quit if you use it.
My advice:
1. Post roll everyday, this is your daily promise to yourself and your fellow quitters to not use chew or nicotine for that day.
This is your quit group: topic/11155274/123/
2. Read everything on the site, every time you get a craving, get on the site and read.
3. Get active and invest in your quit, post support, struggles and victories.
4. Have a plan; gum, seeds, fake chew, etc. then get some phone numbers so you can reach out when struggling.

Proud to quit with you;

What do I got to lose
« on: June 11, 2015, 04:16:00 PM »
I learned of this site today. I have read a number of the postings. I signed up. I spit our my dip and thru my can away. I have been starting my quit process a couple of weeks ago by not going into the convienance store and paying for my gas at the pump.

So what do I have to lose but the monky on my back.

I have been clean for about 2 hours now. I will get thru today. I will check in tomorrow.

Thanks for all those that have been before me. I look forward to your support and wisdom
