Good morning!  I'm new here - I've been dipping for roughly 20 years and decided it was time to make the break.  I'm on Day 4 right now and just came across the site which has a lot of positive information, and some scary pictures that only help confirm why I'm doing this.

I have far too many reasons to quit.  My truly wonderful wife, Sara, has been very understanding and helpful in this process, and my two children, who have no idea what their dad is going through, give me even more reason to stick to this.  I just regret not doing it sooner.

Anyway, I'm not overly familiar with the roll call, but I will get up to speed soon.  Thanks and good luck to everyone here!
Good to be in your group...I got a mouth full of seeds atm....quitting with ya! Stay away from the triggers! But you know that! Stay Strong!
I'm quit with ya. Welcome to June. Lets do this!!!

Post Roll every day or communicate with someone and have them post via text, email or call
Get as many number of your group as you can and use them frequently.
Keep in touch with your quit brothers. Send them a PM, text or call every few days just to keep an open line of communication.
Give them your email address
Make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to go a day without several people contacting you all day if you don't post roll.

Thanks. I quit for three years one time, and thought I had it kicked. Then came that "I can handle having just one dip" moment and it was FUBAR at that point. I know better now and have so many good reasons to quit.

It's all a matter of willpower and adapting to how I handle things now. At least I feel confident in the first one at this point and just need to focus on doing things a little differently.

Thanks for the support, though, and if anyone ever needs to talk themselves off the ledge, hit me up.
Have the same story, quit for 2 1/2 years and thought I could handle just 1.

But we can't. We're addicts. Realizing that is a great step.

You can have all the reasons in the world to quit, but at least one of those reasons needs to be for you. Quit for yourself, not for anyone else.

You can do this!
You may be cool, but you're a tool compared to these guys.

Great choice. Keddy has it right...head to the Welcome Center and read all you can. If you can't figure out how to post roll, just start a new message and ask for help. One of the mods will contact you.

The fog gets thick, but just remember that you GET to go through it. You have taked the first step...we're here for the rest. Living life without nicotine is a wonderful feeling...but it doesn't come for the asking. You have to earn one day at a time.

Welcome, brother!

Congrats on your decision. It's pretty simple. Promise your brothers (and yourself) you'll be quit for the day by posting roll, dont' put the nasty shit in your mouth, and wake up the next morning and repeat the process.

You'll hit your funks, but the pride you'll feel knowing your saving your own life is rewarding enough...that, if you're committed, you can stay quit.

Good to be quit with you today, brother.
Telling that dirty whore to fuck off since 2/21/2012. You can do it too. Just stop being a pussy and do it.

Congratulations on your quit!

We quit cold turkey here, meaning no nic patches, gum or tobacco products.

As you know, the central part of our program and success is posting roll call every day.
Head on over to the WELCOME CENTER (link in red at the upper left of your screen) and read all about posting roll. Then go to the June 2012 group and get started.

The initial days of quitting suck, but your life is worth the fight!!

If you need anything else, just shout.
Welcome to June 2012. Today is my Day 5 and is the first time in over 20 years that I have not had any nicotine in my bloodstream. Looking forward to quiting with you. - Walker
