Thanks for the input so far guys, keeps me motivated. Yall are right all those things are nothing but excuses so this morning i went out and threw away all the dip i had, so now i dont have any here to tempt me.
You're doing well, itstime. The hardest part of the physical discomfort will be over soon.

The site doesn't give medical advice, but there's a lot of experience here to help you along. Here are a few things I was told that brought me through the physical trials: drink plenty of water. Eat frequently but keep your portion sizes small and healthy. You'll probably feel sleepy earlier in the night, but you won't sleep soundly at first: seek help if sleeplessness persists. Don't make excuses for being a jerk to your family or friends - we understand asshats here: do your literal shouting alone in your car or something, vent your rage on us, not them.

Don't let your mind tell you that you're feeling bad because you're quitting. You feel bad because you poisoned yourself for four years, and now you're healing. Your circulation and digestion are returning to normal. Your brain is getting more oxygen. Lots of good things are happening - but it doesn't feel pleasant to get better. Tell yourself that you enjoy feeling crappy: "Embrace the suck". This is what it feels like to become stronger.

Hang on. Stay accountable. It gets a lot better.

Now for the next couple of weeks, you may have to take care to stay away from the places and triggers that tempt you. For instance bringing drinks with you from home for your car ride and paying at the pump so you don't have to go inside and look at the cashier that has fed your habit for the past years, or not going into the stores that have the wall of nicotine, etc.

Dude drop the excuses, grab your sack, and pitch that shit. Even one tiny, little excuse is a setup for total failure.

With that being said, congrats on deciding to quit early. If you're worried about weight gain, hit the gym. Hit it hard. Use the dip rage you're going to have to throw some weights around like an animal.

Welcome to KTC. Glad to quit with you.

Hey guys hows it going. Tonight i was browsing the web and stumbled onto this site and after reading around for nearly an hour i decided that it is my time to quit dipping. As i sit here with what i hope is my last dip in i created an account here for some support. While i am young (18 years old) i have been dipping everyday since i was around 14. I am attending a local community college at the moment and this week is my spring break. I do have a few things that concern me about quitting. While i am out of school this week i will return a week from tomorrow and am concerned that my grades will slack due to the withdrawals. I also play baseball (one of the things that contributed to me starting dip) and i will start playing within the month. I am concerned that with the season starter being so close that i will not be strong enough to continue quitting when it starts. I have also heard that when most people quit they gain weight. Over the past 2 years i have lost nearly 65 pounds and am in the best shape i have ever been. I think that if i start to gain weight it will make me want to start dipping again but hopefully with me still working out this will not be much of an issue. I have decided that even with all these concerns now is a good a time as ever to quit, the sooner the better. Hopefully tomorrow night i can get on here and tell yall about my first day in years without tobacco and hopefully it will be the first with many to come. Well i guess thats about all for now, hopefully you guys can give me support and encouragement i need to kick this horrible habit. Thanks for reading, time to take out what is hopefully going to be my last dip.

'Remshot' DIP
While I personally don't fault the last dip, as my method of quitting was to run out and just not buy any more, I do have to say, Quit being a pussy. You did not lose 65 lbs by dipping, you lost it from hitting the gym and pounding pavement. Dip doesn't majically give you good grades, hours of studying does. If your grades slack it is because you aren't studying enough.

You will find all the support and help you need on this site, but don't expect anyone to hold your hand. This site is about tough love, so sack up, and make the decision, do you want to live, or do you want to die?

Dont even put that last dip in man just take that can of shit out open it and dump it in the toilet than throw the can away. After you get rid of the shit find your quit group join up and post roll. After you post roll read everything on this site you can find. Today was my day one and without this site tomorrow could have been day 1 or the next day or the next. And stop making excuses JUST QUIT
on the quit one day at a time
