Welcome aboard Nick. Congratulations on a great decision. Quitting will not kill you, I promise. But it does sting a bit. Withdrawal is what we refer to as "the suck". Embrace it, it is the price that an addict pays for his freedom. The good news is that you only ever have to do this ONCE.

Great choice, Nick. You took the first step, now let us help you with the rest. Post roll, read and repeat. YOU CAN DO THIS!

Posting roll is a huge first step, you are now accountable. Make your daily roll post (promise not to quit) mean something. It is and was my most powerful weapon to taking back control of my life. Next few weeks will suck, but then it will get better. Good luck Nick

Glad to see you on roll call. Learn to look forward to a nic-free day, quitting is much easier if I know I need to get to midnight. Then wake up, post roll and quit again.

Welcome! Congrats on making the decision!

Head on over to the group: Pre HOF March.
That is the group you will post with.

We do things one day at a time around here, We quit for today and we make a promise to our group by posting roll when we wake up in the morning. Keep your promise, and do it again tomorrow.

Read up on all the useful information around here.
Get some digits from some fellow quitters and quit on.

Congrats!

My name is Nick Johnson and ive been dipping for 7 years. Never had quit but always "planned to". Finally realized that waiting for a calendar date or till i finished a current can wouldn't work. Only had 1 can on hand and flushed it down the toilet. I like the idea of accountability and support that can come from this and look forward to a nicotine-free life.
