You took the hardest step coming here, now post your promise everyday and embrace the suck and soon it won't suck anymore.

Glad you are here. Post any questions you have in your group. I promise they will be answered. PLEASE use this forum to rant and rave through your withdraws instead of doing it to your family. Curse me like a dog if you wish, just spare your loved ones.

As soon as you put that can down you are a quitter and supporter. Look for day 1's coming in and help them because you are closer to day 1 than anyone else at this point. January is a bad ass group of quitters. They will hold you responsible. WUPP (Wake Up Piss Post) daily. That means just what it says. Post as soon as you shake the dew off.

It was great quitting with you today!

Hey Mike! I'm glad you've decided to quit, but I'm confused about one thing in particular...

"I will gladly extend my support once my journey through my quit is complete."

There is no need to hold out on supporting people, because my friend, you're talking about a day that never comes. This journey is only complete when we're dead. I'm not saying that for dramatic effect, either. It's the truth - we are NEVER cured, and staying quit is a lifelong endeavor we have to maintain. Yes, it gets easier with time, but whether you've been quit for 5 hours or 5 decades, you'll always be one bad decision and a gas station away from being right back where you started. Fortunately, you've found the right place to help you maintain your quit.

So, you better plan to extend support before then! Head on over to the January 2016 quit group and start building some accountability and brotherhood with the people there. Post roll call, and let's make this quit official!

A looker, a lurker but obviously not a quitter! Not that damn hard to post roll. You will not find a better place to help you move on with your life. But the price for freedom is posting roll!

Congrats on taking that first step. Now make step #2 and post roll with your brothers and sisters if you haven't already. Quit on!

Mike, welcome!

We are all addicts here, and like you need each other to quit. If you read the words of wisdom or go on chat / PM the veterans they will tell you no quit is ever "complete." It is a tough thing to face, but reality is just that.

I will withhold the wish for good luck*, we aim to succeed by owning our quit one day at a time, every damn day. As mere mortals, we can handle one day of quit. Eternity and forever are beyond our control.

You have lurked, so you know to post your day 1 in the January 2016 quit group, to post every morning at wake up, and to exchange digits etc.

You also should explore the words of wisdom and hall of fame speeches. These will help as you go through the suck (first days of quit while nicotine washes out of your system) and beyond. Drink lots of water, exercise -- it helps.

I quit with you today.

*i will happily wish you good luck on all things outside of quit where luck may be operating. :)

Hey all,

Just dumped out my can of Copenhagen pouches and - after months of lurking - created my account to reach out to you all.

I humbly admit that I need you all now.

I will gladly extend my support once my journey through my quit is complete.

I look forward to getting to know you, to congratulate you on your accomplishments, and to celebrate our shared goal together.

In the meantime, wish me luck.

Best regards,

The newest "NonUser" / Mike
