Buy into the site Thumper. It works.

Form some bonds, talk to each other, bitch to each other. Read and read some more. Make a quit plan and hold yourself accountable.

A Quit Plan: Do you have one?

CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit.
After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco. SportDad 1/13/05

Thump, the KTC only works if you get balls deep into it. October roll has been going for 3 days and they already got a slew of bad ass quitters. Misery loves company, post roll with some dudes and a lady going through the same thing you are.

Guys, keep on enduring the pain and remember it. You might say, will it ever go away or how can I forget. It does get better and I promise you if you continue quitting you will witness those that forget and come crawling back because they failed to remain quit. Now Thump post roll and get some of these guys numbers in your group and build a support group.

I have dip just about every day for 19 years. I was going through over a can a day. I am on day 3 on quitting and I am miserable can't sleep and just real jittery. Hope it gets easier
Hang in there, brother! The long-term freedom far outweighs the short-term misery!

Welcome aboard brother and hang in there. Just had my morning cup of coffee and I am right there craving with ya. Started dipping Kodiak when I was 16 and I'm 42 now. We can't dodge the bullet for ever and making aconcious choice to put poison in our lips on an hourly basis is the wrong way to end your life. I failed my first day of quitting and caved on the first night so although I should be on day 3... I am only on day 2. Don't be me. My brother in law is CLW and he's right there beside us jonesing for a dip. Keep up the good work!
Post Roll and get into October with Dicson, CLW and I!

Go to the quit groups and then go to October. October is your quit group. All other guys who are quitting around the same time are in there. I'm in there and I'm on day 3. It's important to post roll, which is basically roll call every day. It is just a way for you to tell everyone that for that day you promise not to put a dip in. If you go to the last post on the last page it has instructions on how to post roll

First off congratulations on your choice to save your own life. The best thing you can do for yourself now is get into the October 14 group and post roll. When you post roll that is your promise to yourself and all the others on KTC that you will not use nicotine in any way shape or form for that day. Also you need to read through as much information on this site as you can. The more you know then the stronger your quit will be. As for the not sleeping and feeling jittery, it does get better it just takes time. You will always have crave's because like the rest of us you are an ADDICT. That is why we quit one day at a time here. Make sure after you post roll and get with your group that you reach out to your brothers and sisters and get some phone numbers. Make friends and at the same time build your chain of accountability. Always remember the two key equations this site uses 1 problem + Nicotine = 2 problems Accountability+Brotherhood= success.
