Be sure to have a plan. Changes to your everyday routine is critical to getting you through the first week or so. Keep yourself busy, exercise, drink tons of water and most importantly read as much and as often as you can on this site. You will find very quickly what to expect and be given the tools necessary to get you through today. If you need some digits send me a pm. I quit with you today.

Hi, I'm 30 years old and from Dubuque, IA. I've dipped Grizzly Wintergreen Long Cut for 12 years. It all started on a yellow school bus coming back from a High School Baseball game...if only I could go back in time. Baseball is the biggest trigger to my chewing- you sit there with the boys and every single one of them has a can and a full cheek. But, I realized that it was time to stop. I am married to my best friend and have 3 wonderful boys (5, 2 and 6 months). Each time my wife got pregnant I would say "I'll quit before the baby comes." Obviously I did not. So I'm here to share the struggles with all of you and look forward to your support, and supporting future can killers!

Welcome to the asylum and strap in for the SUCK. You have already gotten some excellent advice so I won't add much except to try and reinforce how extremely important posting roll is especially to a new quitter such as yourself. It may seem silly or frivolous even to post a promise to a bunch of guys/gals that you only know from this on-line community, but I can assure you with %100 certainty, if you post roll every day and are a man of your word, you will not fail, it is impossible. I can attest to watching rock star quitters on here who post roll every damn morning as soon as they awake make it to the HOF and beyond. I can also tell you that I have seen folks half-heartedly post roll when they have time and poof......within a week, two or three they are gone back to nicotine slavery. So yes I am telling you, POST ROLL EVERY DAMN DAY with us and stay free of the slave driver! Lastly stay close to KTC during the first week of your quit, peruse this site and learn all you can about the enemy and vent here when you need. Shoot me a PM if you need anything..........

Hey Jkuhle! You made the right decision. I am at day 7 and feeling better everyday. Nicotine is a bitch and will let you know it every now and then, take it as it comes and don't give in.

I dipped for 33 years (Copenhagen) and started just like you (Baseball, Football) and I have let it rule portions of my life. Read some of the articles on this site and apply them, they will help you.

I see you posted roll brother, glad you have aboard. You are day 2 so buckle up for today, tomorrow, and probably Wednesday. Drink water, exercise, stay close to KTC, use the Live Chat, text me or someone else, just don't dip. You have the tools now, and I'm proud to quit with you today.

Welcome. Your story is very similar to many here, me included. See Thumblewort's post. Head to the Welcome Center and see what this place is all about. Glad to have you. Feel free to reach out via PM (upper right hand corner) if you've got any questions. Let's do it.

jkuhle, we quit by posting roll early and every day. You'll find instructions in the Welcome Center. When did you quit?
