Kind of made my day! I heard from Ryanbc today. He said he's on day 5 and still quit. I hope to encourage him to utilize this site for his quit and encourage him to do role.
Maybe if others can join me in sharing how role has helped in their quit it may help him understand. And other new quitters as well.
In short for me doing role had taken my mind off of using tobacco or any nicotine. It was/ is not an option because of that promise. And with that my mind was free to see and conquer triggers. I'm still new at being a successful quitter. My quit on my own in the past failed me miserably. Some of the cause of my failure was an unclear mind to conquer triggers.
I literally posted this in another's Intro this morning it is what makes this site so powerful:
Advice from someone still very close to the Suck ! - Day 19 here and Welcome to November
1st piece of advice is post roll everyday and make that promise to not only yourself but also your fellow quitters that you will not touch the Nic for the day.
2nd piece of advice is fucking mean it when you make the promise
3rd - reach out to your fellow quitters of Nov and seasoned Vets to grow your connection and passion to quit
Follow steps 1,2 and 3 each and every day wake up and repeat and you will tame the Nic bitch.
Now as to the Fog/haze and hell you are/might going through:
Drink a shit ton of Water like 2+ gallons a day for the next week.
Keep other items on hand - Altoids, Gum, Seeds, Hard Candy, Fake Chew if thats your thing, oh and Water!
Try to stay away from caffeine for a bit as it could cause you headaches
And last Alcohol can make us do dumb things stay away from it for a bit until you get through the major FOG.
So go post roll, send me your digits in a PM and lets tame the bitch together !
as a fellow November quitter proclaimed yesterday - ABQ - Always Be Quittin
