One week into this quitting thing and I've questioned it I don't know how many times. I started with the whole lifesavers, nicotine gum, and chewing gum thing and suffered through the first two days. I've been off nicotine gum for two days now and I'm feeling great. No kidding my lift has went up 25 lbs in one week, that's unbelievable for a 37 year old who is just coming off a disc replacement surgery in the neck. This site is great and uber helpful!! I have learned more today on this site than all the other sites combined. I wish I had seen this a week ago. I have dipped for the last 22 years about 1.5 cans per day and quitting was not just for me but for my wife and kids more than me. I know they have wanted me to for years and I kept putting it off, but now.....I'm free!
Welcome aboard. Your quit date should reflect the last time you used nicotine, not just dip. We quit nicotine here, that is the addictive substance.

Congrats on quitting. Post roll early in the morning each day. This will ensure that you are nicotine free for the remainder of the day. Get to know some people here. The whole point of this to have accountability and make sure that people are watching out for you and you are watching out for other quitters. It is so much easier knowing that your quit brother is going through the same shit you are.

I quit with you today.
