Congrats on making a great choice and thanks for your service! Learn how and why we post roll then do it. Don't be concerned about screwing it up...the mods can fix it. If you need help, just ask.

Quitting is done ONE DAY AT A TIME. And yes, it will suck. But embrace the suck. That is the feeling of healing. Choose to see withdrawal symptoms as a privilege...you GET to feel like shit because you CHOSE to take your life back. Quit is a privilege reserved to those who have the guts to do it. You do!!!

There are no shortcuts and nobody can do this for you. But you've taken the first step. So we've got your back the rest of the way.

YOU CAN DO THIS!

The only mission here is to post roll daily, and not use nicotine for 24 hours.

Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Gambatte -
Active Marine here (11 years service, 14 years cancer-building). I'm quitting with you. Join the Roll Call today (September group), and we'll be in the same Hall of Fame.

I know how hard it is when everyone around you is an addict, and they're the special kind of assholes that love to sabotage a quitter. Been there, done that. You gotta be the one success story, to show them that there's a better way.

Lots of water and PT. I highly recommend hitting the weights, and putting that lowered metabolism to good use (like monster pecs and lats). By now, you've probably started experiencing the cold-like symptoms. Think of it as a hangover from nic, which is nature's way of telling you that you've been an idiot for several years. Then drink some more cold water (add lemon for variety), chew some gum, and hit the gym/track/pool/bike for a sweat sesh.

You're doing awesome, but you haven't completed the mission quite yet.
Zero day: 22 June 2015.
Quit date: Today.

I'm in Japan, working for the Navy.

Sunday, June 21, 2015 was my quit day! Today (Tuesday) is day three. When my brain is able to focus on anything, I know that I'm doing something good. But I haven't been able to accomplish much at work the last day and a half and I need that to pass.

I have been a half a can a day dipper for the past 4 years. Used the Skoal straight to stop smoking camel lights... traded one bastard for another.

Wife is away on a boat for a couple of months. No kids, but I got pretty pissed at the dog last night. Maybe not the best time to quit with the wife being gone, but I knew it was time. I'll be back here tomorrow!
Hey gam, read up on how to Post Roll and do it as quickly as you can. The fog will come and go for awhile. Now while the wifey is gone is an excellent time to quit, because you will be a complete dickhead at times for a while. Read, exercise, and drink plenty of water. I quit with you today!
GAM,

As Pab said this is a great time to quit with your wife gone, bring your anger here and rant and rave, we all know what your going thru. However, be nice to your pup, your all He's got. Thank you for your service, proud to quit with you.
