Thanks for the responses and guidance.  I'm guessing the pissy mood swings are part of the deal for a while, eh?  I feel like Frodo Baggins lashing out at Bilbo when he sees the ring for the first time in a while...Time to keep the mind occupied and off the cravings for a while I guess
Chat really helped me through the 4 days of hell I had.....exercise and going to chat made me laugh and helped me open my eyes to how great being quit is.

I felt every emotion that is thought as negative. Underneath it all, I was happy. I finally took a stand and said, "I am quit." Now you too can no longer be a hypocrite, you can be a man word.

Couldn't be this far without KTC. Stay close.
New 2 this chat support stuff. But my story started when I was 13 doing some hay on my buddies farm and his brother said try this, it was the good ole bear, got sick a few times frm it puked but still came back for more. Been hooked ever since about 20 years if Im not sleeping I got a big ole hogs leg in my mouth. Well 2 days ago looked in my mouth thought I bit my cheek saw a white spot ran to the dentist office he said might not be nothing but you better get checked. So goin to the doc today to see what he says. So after all this shit I said I'm done with the good ole bear threw my brand new can out the window. That's it cold turkey been feeling a lil weird detoxing prob but staying strong so far.

Thanks

Hello Everyone,
I'm new as of today and I believe I'm in the July quit group.  I'm a father of 4 kids, oldest of which is 4 years old.  In 2006 I made my wife stop smoking so that we could start having kids.  I've since smoked or chewed in front of her and the kids on several occassions while she hasn't smoked since Dec 31, 2006.  She was a pack a day smoker since she was 15.  I'm a complete and total hypocritical dick for stashing packs of smokes around the house and sneaking dip whenever I can. I'm a sales road warrior and most of my coworkers and buddies on the road are smokers.  I absolutely love a nice chew while driving 200 miles to some destination.  My dad and I often have a chew while drinking beers and watching sports. It might be tough but I do not want nicotine of anykind - it's a known carcinogen.  Why would I knowingly use cancerous substances at the possible risk of not being there for my wife and kids?  I don't want this fake rat poison shit in my system anymore - I'm done.  Now what?
Welcome to July I'm about two days in myself. Good to have you here.

Welcome to the best decision you'll ever make. Quitting her has a few simple steps:

1. Post Roll
2. Keep your promise
3. Repeat

Follow those steps and you will be okay. You will also want to get to know your quit group brothers and get connected and stay actively posting, it helps a lot.

PM me if you need anything.
Never forget the past or you will be doomed to relive your mistakes.
