I can't get enough of this place! Everyone on here is just awesome! Probably a little emotional here on day 2 but reading this gets me pretty choked up. Complete strangers coming together to be there for support. Love it! Embracing day to of my quit yall, yesterday i was dealing with some serious anxiety in the morning. Didn't have a break down, just had a really tight chest and a semi panic attack when i knew i wasn't going to have a chew after a meal. This morning I got some smoky mountain to hopefully trick my brain a little.
Good luck today quit warriors! I know im gonna need it!

No such thing as LUCK in a quit. You control your own quit destiny brother. You've already been told/shown how by the others on this intro... wake up, piss, post roll, and HONOR YOUR WORD. If you're a man of integrity and you post your word you won't use nicotine in any form for the day and you live up to your promise, then stack enough of those promises on top of one another, YOU WILL BE QUIT!
It will suck, to be sure....even after the physical withdrawal symptoms are over (about 3-4 days), your mind will still screw with you as the millions of dopamine receptors you have built into your brain die of starvation because you're no longer feeding them their "fix" of nicotine. It will take some time, but once you come out the other side, it is SO MUCH BETTER.
Dive in headfirst. Read as much as you can on this site about nicotine addiction and how it F's with your body and brain and what you can expect in dealing with it. Knowledge is power....power to crush your addiction... start
here, then find other articles that increase your knowledge. Regarding cravings, they WILL happen....fact of life. But also know that even if you think you're gonna die if you don't get another dip, nicotine withdrawal has never actually killed anyone (I don't think).... :D
Trade numbers with other quitters, especially in your quit group of Sept 16. Get to know them....they will, over time, become like an extended family to you. Lean on them when the days suck, and return the favor by supporting them when they're having a bad day as well.
This site works, but ONLY if YOU WORK IT. Nothing that's worth having comes free. Brotherhood/Sisterhood PLUS Accountability EQUALS Success. You'll never be cured from your addiction, but you can beat that sumbitch into submission on a daily basis... And I along with other quitters on this site will be there every step of the way with you.
