Welcome. Pretty much what Spuds said. Make your promise, and keep it. There's no magic formula, just guts and grit.

I'm proud to quit with you.

Just joined yesterday on my 65th day without nic. Chewed for 22 plus years anything from Redman to Kodiak to Cope. Just like everyone else I always thought about quitting, and just kept telling myself "tomorrow" or next Thursday or some stupid day that would never come. So one day looking around on line I stumbled across this site and started looking around at things, mainly the alternated to dip and started putting together my own quit plan with help from various threads from forums and other helpful links on the site. So I finally decided that I was going to out a plan together and started my journey towards my quit. I started out by mixing cope with Smokey mountain, 1 can cope to 3 cans Smokey mountain, I chewed this mixture for about two weeks with out really knowing what the ratios were and was getting by pretty good. So the following week I tried going with just to Smokey mountain and a little assistance from nicotine gum for the really bad days, and kept this up for about another week and a half. Then on the morning of 7/18, I threw everything away that had nicotine in it and have been 100% clean since. I owe a lot of the success to date for my quit to the resources that I have found here, some days are better than others, but having a place to go and even just read post by others helps in knowing that we are not alone in this.
Welcome and congratulations on 65 days by yourself.

The key to this site is accountability and that is achieved by posting roll everyday.

I chewed for 17ish years, I am over 2 years quit but I post roll everyday because I know that I can't do it by myself.

Post roll, join us and help others.
