My name is Ben and just posting an intro as I just joined the site. I had trolled the site quite a bit before I made the decision to quit. Today is day 16 for me after an 8 year habit of dipping Skoal straight and Grizzly straight. Today was the first time I posted role in the June HOF group and won't be the last.

Glad you have joined us. Congrats on quitting. Just so you're clear tobacco/nicotine use for 8 years is not a habit. Chewing your nails is a habit. Nicotine usage is an addiction. You are addicted to a deadly poison.

Post every day, make some friends, and educate yourself on nicotine addiction and the deadly effects of tobacco use.

Yeah some of those 16 days were better than others. Figured why not join some guys that know what I'm going through! No I'm actually a grad from Crystal River High 2005 which is just down the road from UF so I'm a big Florida Gator fan.

If you're serious about quitting, you've come to the right place. Post roll daily to make a promise to yourself and everyone here that you won't use nicotine today. Anyone can do something for one day.

Reach out to people here and exchange numbers. These people will act as a support system for you. It helps to be able to text someone who knows what you're going through when you're having a craving.

This forum is only as useful as you allow it to be. Get involved. Encourage others and get support when you need it.
