Andy, you are not only welcome, we WANT YOU here.  You need to be here so you can quit.  We are just very strict about our rules with nicotine.  I wasn't busting your balls and neither was jbrad, we are just protecting KTC.org because we love it.  Get your ass in here and quit with us.  Post roll and never look back.
Anyone who uses no nicotine and posts roll is welcomed Andy.

Maybe I was unclear about one thing earlier. As far as the Nicorette gum, I have tried it before, and I did try have some on the first 3 days of this quit- it was leftover from months ago. That said, I have not had it since and as far as oral fixes go, I have stuck to regular gum, sunflower seeds and mints since 2/25. The first couple days were real tough but NO nicotine since then. I just thought that would be easier the first couple days so as far as being free of the drug, I am on day 6. Hope I'm still welcome on this site.
Of course you're still welcome here. Make sure you got rid of all the nicotine gum.
Go and post your Day 6 with June 2014 Quit Group. That accountability is a big piece of this pie.
Quit since 1/23/14

Saw you for a couple minutes in chat this afternoon and you didn't mention any nic gum. Interesting thing is that when you log into chat it tells you; "No dip/nicotine while in room for newbies (non-member)." Nic gum is definitely nicotine. Pitch it out and start day one. Dip or cigs were not the problem here, nicotine is the addictive substance. You can certainly have issues with the oral fixation but that is not an addiction.

You are not the first to join up with gum or patches running your life. If you really want this, you are not the first that will flush $50 worth of that crap. You are not the first to think you are quit, all you have done is change the delivery system.

Flush it.

Then post day 1.

Today can be your day 1.

Your choice, whats it going to be?

Andy, just read where you are using nic gum. That's not quit man. Get off nicotine and then it's day 1.

Glad you are here and if you want to quit, i mean really quit. This is the right place.

Tell us when you trash that nic gum..

I probably should have introduced myself before I posted on another chat but here goes. I have dipped since 1990. Every time I would think about that it would scare the shit out of me at how long that is. I mean that's over half of my life. Reading this site and others has really woken me up to the need to do this now. Not tomorrow, not next month, not after I get through this tough time at work or any other lame excuse. I'm on day 9 which is longer than my past "attempts" and I will be on here a lot in the days, weeks, months and years to come. Thanks for the support!
