So nothing has changed. Just a post and ghost. Quitting is more than posting roll.

And should you need some digits PM me. I will gladly accept and help you. Feel free to contact me at any time. I don't even care if it has nothing to do with your quit. Some times just talking gets your mind off of the nic long enough.

Quit on!

Hello Phil! Welcome to the KTC community and the Stone Cold Quitters of November. You have come to the right place to get your quit on. It's going to be tough.... especially the first couple days. There are plenty of resources (including people) on this website to help you overcome this addiction. This community can certainly excel at 'tough love' but hey, we all mean well.

As mentioned above, the first thing you should do every single day is post roll to the November group. You should also read every piece of writing on this website. I have found as you feel those cravings start to creep up, reading through the forums will chase the nic bitch away.

Also, take your quit one day at a time (ODAAT). Focus on the NOW of your quit. Don't worry about how you'll feel tomorrow. Getting through the now is all you need to do.

Lastly, get to know your KTC brothers. Send PMs, post in forums, get digits, text... and whatever else. Stay in contact with this site.

Stay strong brother. I quit with you today and every day!

I see you posted Day 1 and that is the first step on this journey. Now be a man of your word and honor your promise to us and yourself and we will see you again in the morning for Day 2. It may seem simple and even a bit silly but posting roll is the back bone of KTC and if you do this, you cannot lose. We defeat the Nic Bitch together one day at a time.

Hold on tight now and pull up your pants because the SUCK  FOG are coming over the next 3-4-5 days and you want to remember this feeling so it will remind you that you never want to go through that again. Drink lots of water, suck on fireballs, Jolly Ranchers or whatever you need, just don't cave. Staying close to this site is also a good plan, use chat, read HOF speeches and Tom  Jenny's story if you haven't yet. Welcome aboard and I quit with you today.

Oh and lastly, we don't try anything here at KTC, We just f%king do it! 'winker'

Way to step up November! Phil, you got some bad asses in your HoF group, get to know them so you don't have to do this alone.

Welcome to the November quitters. Stop "trying" and get quit. It's literally a life or death decision - a daily decision you are going to be faced with the rest of your life, like me and all the other nicotine addicts. I quit with you today. You can do this.

Let me change the title of your intro from "Trying to Take it Seriously", to " I poison myself daily because I'm an addict, and if I don't quit TODAY I am committing slow suicide". Do you see the difference?

We don't try here, we do. We post roll every day. We keep ourselves and our fellow quitters accountable. We don't use nicotine.

I see you on roll today, and I quit with you today.

None of this, " I think.....I feel...I'm hopeful...". Take it from a 30 year dipper and thousands of other quitters, It can be done. You have the resolve now take that resolve and fight for your freedom, your health and your integrity. As I quoted posting roll this morning, “Believe you can and you're halfway there.” ― Theodore Roosevelt. It is NOT easy unless you know you are done, unless you're tired of being a slave to the can and unless you're tired of playing life roulette.
Keep your head on straight and don't look back. Get through these first few days and you will see each day gets just a bit easier. It will suck, no doubt. The exhilaration of being free, that you are about to experience, is amazing. Don't let the nic bitch mind eff you. Fight the craves with everything you've got. Personally, the fake stuff has been my savior. That and a shitload of ranch sunflower seeds. If you're a drinker, pass for a while. Too many quits fail due to boozin. Work through the physical break for the next 72 hours and after that it's mental.
Stay close to the site and reach out if you need support. I will PM my number to you in case you need it.
Be strong.

Great choice to quit! Read everything here on KTC. Start with the welcome center to learn the basics; then keep reading. Read cancer stories, read a few intro threads from start to current, keep reading the HOF speeches, words of wisdom, everything... Then read some more. Everyones' quit is a little different, but also mostly the same. You need to educate yourself about our addiction, our enemy (nicotine), what to expect on your quit journey, and learn the KTC quit plan. Live the plan. The plan works.

You sound like you have the right mindset to quit. Own your quit. Work your quit. You have all the power.

I will not lie, you are in for the fight of your life, but you can do this. Drink lots of water, exercise, READ KTC, get seeds, gum, fake dip, anything to keep the poison out of your body, and get involved here. Get #s from your quit group and vets alike, track your quit here in your intro, and build your accountability. Oh yeah, post roll every day and keep your word.

You can do this! PM me if you have any questions or want a #.

Welcome Phil! It's all for naught if you don't post your promise. This is your opportunity to make it right. You have an obligation to put the lies behind you and post your first and only day one. We addicts do dumb things, until we don't.

As was stated, your story of "stops" (not quits) and rationalizations as to why its ok to shove poison into your lip is all too familiar to myself and many here. The label, addict, is one you must start to accept. That is what you and I are. Addicts can't have "just one". Read up. Post roll FIRST THING every morning. This is your word to yourself AND your brothers here that you will not use nicotine today. Get used to making that promise every morning. Use the resources here. Nobody can do this alone. It can be intimidating at first so if you have any questions hit me up. Get numbers off your fellow Nov group members. Looks like you're a Philly fan. I am as well. Football season has always been a big trigger for me. I plan on using help from other members here. I suggest you do the same. PM me if you have questions or want to exchange numbers.
