Hello. My name is Kurtis. I have been dipping for 5 years and tried to quit multiple times and failed. As of now I am quit for 2 days but will quit completely Jan. 4th with the help of KTC
Hey Kujo....is it January 4th yet?

THIS is why the folks here encourage QUITting when the desire is strong enough to create your quittername, and begin QUITting.

Taking time to make a solid quit plan has its benefits...but NOT having a solid quit plan equates to one post wonders, like this...it appears your quit plan was not very solid.

Good luck...

I am about to have my first nic-free Christmas in more than 10 years. I am exited by that idea.
Can you give me one reason why you shouldn't enjoy the same?
Didn't think so... its the addict-you making the decisions, not the quitter-you.
Time for quitter to step up. You will have this whole site in your corner if you just decide that quitter you is worth a damn.

Kurtis, you texted me and told me that you and your buddies where all quitting on New Years !! What made y'all decide to wait till January 4th now? See these guys are right about excuses. They are right because we have all been down that road. No excuse is a good excuse, rather it is nicotine controlling your life more than what you might want to think. It's time to quit now so you can enjoy the holidays. Let's go bud get in with me in March quit

no do not wait till jan 4th, quit now, today, post up and begin taking back your life. the nex dip could be the one that kills you!

go to the welcome center link above and take your life back today!
Quit or not quit? It is that simple. Don't wait until tomorrow. We all played that game before, tomorrow never comes because there are always new excuses to keep dipping.
Let me assure you that you don't need chew to get through the holidays. In fact when you jump all the way in you will discover chew never did make you relax, concentrate better or anything else except crap regularly. It is just your nicotine-influenced brain associating it with pleasure to keep you stuff it into your piehole.
Get on board!
Fish, eat, sleep. Repeat.

Kujo,
Since you appear to be a planner, I am only going to ask one question...do you have your first cave planned? I am not sure why you would want to prolong your exposure to tobacco related problems. Granted quitting is not easy but why not use a time like the holidays to just quit.

Hell it is like giving yourself the gift of life for the holidays. Sure some days will suck, but they will suck if you quit now, in a week, in a month or anytime.

Two of my three kids were planned...the third one was a surprise, and hell I like him just as much as the other two.

Today I plan on remaining quit for my 151st day, not gonna plan for tomorrow, just gonna see how it goes.

Dude.....

some quick homework for you, important info.

Google this: how long does it take for nicotine to be out of your system?
(of course this info is also on this site, if you joined, im guessing you have read this already?)

Subtract 48 hours from that (how long you have been what you say "quit").

How small of a number are you left with???

Given that number, why the hell wait till January 4th??? You're almost there!!!! What the What?
