Jeep, By now you have dumped all the cancer dirt you have, the next step is the most important, get in May 16 and post roll giving us your word that you will not use for the next 24 hours. I'll be looking for you on roll today, May 16 is shaping up to be a bunch of BAQ's (Bad Ass Quitter), and they are alway looking for more to join them!

I have not, where can I find the quit group? And I will be posting roll call tomorrow first thing when I wake up! PatrickG, I don't think you're being a dick at all, you're absolutely right. It is nothing more than an addiction; one that I'm finally ready to kick. And AppleJack, I know how it sounds, but it's just part of my own process. When I packed it in, the pain I felt in my gums in my "spot" for the past 5 years really affirmed it in my mind. I will absolutely not be buying a can tomorrow morning as per my usual routine, and I WILL prove you wrong :D
Click here for May quit group When you log in initially, click on quit groups and look for pre HOF group that fits with your quit date..This is the group you will post each and every day!!!! You got this, I quit with ya!

Hey guys and gals, just found this quit site last night, and seeing some of the stories here inspired me to take the stand. I started the habit when I was 15, and now, 5 years later, after multiple quit attempts, this will be the real deal. I'm done with saving spitters. Done $5 a day on chaw. Done with gator lip and my gums being red. I'm done thinking I'm not an addict. I've been in denial for a long time, wasn't until 6 months ago when I really looked at myself and said "I don't think I can quit". The sad part is, the nicotine has screwed with my head so much that I just enjoy dipping so much. But the risk of gum disease and mouth cancer (and the stupid amount of money I spend) outweighs it for me now. Seeing the gum recession and how fucked up my gums are already looking after 5 years, going on 6, it scares me to think where they'll be in another 5. So, I go to work tonight with one pinch left in the can. After my shift, I'll throw it in, savor it one last time, and starting January 30th, I begin the journey. I will be done before my 21st birthday. I wish all of you starting today the best of luck.
Quitting now is badass... not waiting until you've finished "one last dip".

How many times have you done that?

I smell faiure here...

Please prove me wrong.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

A couple of things
1. This is not a habit, it is an addiction
2. You don't enjoy dipping, you enjoy not having withdrawal symptoms.
3. We don't need luck to quit, we put our name on roll, promising we won't use nicotine in any for for today.

So... It sounds like I'm being a dick. I know because someone did the exact same thing to me on my intro and I said "what a dick". One year later I understand what he was telling me.

Get your name on roll and lets get this quit started.
