Thanks group.  It is hard and didn't know a place like this was around to help.  I have quit many times in the past but really plan on this being for real.  My father died early in life and missed his grandchildren, I'd like to spend time with mine!!
Charley- you have a great benefit for getting quit, in watching your grandchildren grow up. But remember that this quit is for you first and all. Be selfish with it. Don;t get angry with anyone else as it was you 35 years ago that got started when if I would be correct no one who is around you was there (grandkids weren't)

My day 100 today is a quit for me, and at age of 41 I can not only watch my sons grow but now can actually participate in a lot of the fun stuff with them.

See you in the Jan13 roll as it works. Be quit my friend.
I don't agree. I say get mad. Get REAL mad. Let it be your drive and focus. It may not work for every quitter, but it did for me. Do not focus it on those around you, though. You want to know who I still get mad with? Read my HOF speech (linked in my sig) for the answer.
I'll second Rad.

Changing yourself ain't easy. You've lived a pattern for years and you've become conscious that it was wrong. The farther you separate yourself from that old pattern the better. And developing an extreme hatred for that 'other guy' certainly sets your mind on a path. You got to fight for the real you. And that takes balls and grit.

Get your head right and your ass will follow.

Welcome Charlie... You have come to the right place! Surrounding yourself with a support group is the only way to wage war on the nic bitch! Post roll everyday, take in all the information people give you on this site! You will be amazed how many people have gone through what you are going through and it does help to know you are not alone in your quit! Your entire group go through it with you...

Welcome Charlie and will be seeing you on roll call!

Charlie we have a lot in common. I came here 193 days ago and had no idea what to expect from a forum like this, I've been an addict for nearly 40 years and hated the control that Copenhagen has had on me. I have a 4 yr old grandson that is with me daily and I didn't want him to see me dip or die!
You need to go to January 2013 quit group and post roll. Make your daily promise, keep your word. Read all you can and be active on the site and you will find success against Copenhagen! It will suck, it will be hard but winning daily battles is so rewarding! Pm me if I can help or to trade #'s,

I have been dipping for years now.  It makes me feel bad but yet I keep doing it!!  Now I'm done.  Today was day 1.
That's what addiction is Charley. It convinces you to give up your free will and serve it first and foremost. Listen the the BS reasons to continue dipping. Listen closely to the BS the nic bitch is whispering in your ear and you'll realize what a dupe you've been. We've all been there. I promise that quitting is the best thing you can imagine, if you commit to it. It will not be easy. But dipping again will be a choice. Take away that choice today and post roll.

Read everything you can in the WELCOME CENTER, then head over to the January group. You can do this. Jump in with both feet, drink the cool aide, and keep you damn word.

PM me with you if I can help with anything.
*Quit today. Full stop. No qualifiers. Tomorrow?... IDK, IDC.

That is an awesome decision you have made for yourself! 53 days ago I made that same decision after 21 years, and it has been great ever since! If I can do, you can to!

Make sure to go to the Welcome Center. It is listed above in pink lettering underneath the banner. There you can learn what it means to post roll and keep your word.

Feel free to PM me if ya need anything. I'll quit with you today, and we'll worry about tomorrow when it gets here!
Caving is NOT an option!
