Worm Dirt
« Reply #9 on: September 16, 2015, 09:21:00 PM »
I cannot believe I stopped putting that nasty ass worm dirt in my face. I've been dipping snuff since I was a boy. (Over 30 years).. I really never want to touch it again. I am disappointed in myself for allowing that stuff to control my mind and risk my health. I plead with anyone who is reading this to stay on the path... Do it for Yourself. Do it for Your loved ones. Do it because You have the facts and Your rational mind is telling You what the dangers are. Just do it and get it over with! You don't need it. You can live without it. You can live better without it. Will You really continue to allow it to control Your life? The time is now. Yes it is tough to stop but I am sure that You have been through things in Your life that was tougher. You're still here. You made it through those things You'll make it through this. No more excuses... Commit Yourself to quit.
I am 43 years old and I have spent the most of my life addicted to the drug nicotine... I have used every excuse not to quit to my wife, my children and many other people who love me.. What a coward I have been to allow such a stupid habit to control me to the point of choosing it over the concern of my children.. It has been in control all of these years. Shame on me. Shame on me for allowing it to be in control.
I would rationalize any reason to keep using. I would think to myself Well, you know self you started when you where just a kid so you probably will never be able to quit.. What kind of stupid bull shit rationalization is that?
Do You make up excuses? Can You really justify them? Can You think of a bad reason to quit? Do You get what I'm saying?
I've been there. I know where You are. I'm with You. You have My best Hopes, My best wishes and even My prayers that You will end Your dependence on this life stealer.

BigJay, glad you found KTC. At 112, your quit group is August 2015 (it groups by when you get to 100). I'm at 120 days after 30 years can a day cope.

Post roll with us, the promise not to use nicotine for one day. Repeat tomorrow morning, etc.

A quick intro in that topic will help warm up the August group of quitters... we all made it to 100 days in August, and face similar challenges ahead.

Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Hello everyone,
What a great sight. It is wonderful to see the support... I stopped dipping copenhagen snuff almost around the clock for the last 30 years 112 days ago.
I cannot believe that I allowed nicotine to control my life for so long. I hope I can be a help to someone.. Nice to meet you all.
