Hey Now,

I just wanted to give an introduction of myself. Im 27 y/o male. Im a firefighter/paramedic. Ive been dipping skoal mint for about 10 years. I joined this site yesterday the actual day that i decided to quit. It was just time for me to do it. I want live, I want to have children, and see there children. I want a dip most of all though right now. I instead of sunflower seeds, candy and the Hooch mint I got in the mail last week. All they do is make me want a dip more. So its 2 days down and the rest of my life to go.

Welcome peckerwood!!!! Glad to have you and scuba is correct this site is about quitting for the moment. Whatever it takes you quit minuite by minute, second by second if you have to! You can not quit for the rest of your life, but you can quit everyday for the rest of your life!! Read everything you can and stay involved with this site, it will be your lifeline. Use the forums to rant, rage, and vent. Take it out on us and leave your loved ones alone, they didn't cause you to become addicted to tobacco!!!

Yessir, you do have the rest of your life to go now that you've quit. Great decision! Your 2/3 through the roughest part of the physical withdrawals. Keep it up. Don't worry about "the rest of your life" until it comes. Just focus on today, this hour, or the next 3 minutes. You can stay quit for 3 minutes can't you? Well that will get you past most craves since the typical crave only lasts 3 minutes. Go into chat when you're getting ancy for a dip, and get up on the July 09 roll call. I'm on day 99 of my quit--HOF tomorrow! I can tell you that I never expected to be here 100 days ago. But by the grace of God and a lot of help from this site, I'm here and life couldn't be better. So keep quit and see those babies in your future.

Glad to have ya!!!
