Thanks for your service Omega. I know a lot of people are probably getting tired of this but it really workd for me! Every single morning (including tomorrow which will be Day 25 for me) I wake up and either silently...or out loud if it seems like a bad day...I simply say "I will NOT dip snuff today". After that...if there are ever any craves, any temptations I just tell myself "No, that decision has been made today" (see my sig line). It is just my way of telling myself when those bad situations come up...and they will...that there is no point in craving, no point in wanting, no point in even thinking about it, because for today I have made that decision!

PM or email me if I can be of help. My father-in-law was an Air Force man for 20 years...quit smoking non-filtered junk cold turkey because he wanted to...so I know they make you all tough enough!

You've made a wise decision my friend. Way to go on tossing that tin.

This won't be easy, however we're all in the same battle, fighting the same fight. We're here for one another and we can lean on each other when we need to.

This is an awesome site, full of great people all working to help one another overcome one hell of an addiction. If you need anything or have questions, ask someone...I diid, and I got the answers I was looking for and then some.

This system works, the proof is here. You and I will soon be proof of this system!

Congratulations to you!!

Fighting an addiction by yourself is hard enough, but fighting it with others who know what you?re going through and will fight side by side with you makes that battle a hell of a lot easier.

Hooorah, Hooorah, kill, kill, soldier
Kill that dippin' habit, or it will eventually kill you.

Going on day 17 myself and also going nuts. But no way I could be quit this long without this site, I caved hundreds of times within a day, couple days, hours, even minutes into my previous hundreds of quits. I'm also really ready for this disgusting habit to be in my past. I'm not too far from McGuire Air Force base - will send you a pm with my number just in case you need someone to scream at during a crave

Hi Omega my name is Pete im 32 and dipped for 17 years. Im on day 3 looking forward to day 4. So far reading the facts and stories on the main resource page helped me when I had a crave. Acutally scares the crap out of ya, makes you never want to dip again. everyday gets a little easier, hope all is going well and good luck.

Hey guys, i'm new here. I'm so glad this forum is here because it very well may be the only way I can stop dipping. I'll tell you about myself.

I'm 24 and a Staff Sgt in the US Air Force. I got into dipping 3 years ago while in Iraq. In fact i'm writing all of this now with a dip in right now. Kinda sad to say but its hard to go without one. I dont smoke just dip. I quit last year for about a month and while fishing a buddy offered me one and I just couldn't refuse any more. ALL of my friends dip with no motivation to quit. My wife doesn't know I still dip and would be very angry to find out that I still do it. So I can't talk to anyone I know about quitting. Which is why i'm here. I want to quit, but need help and support. I dip about 5 cans a week usually Grizzly or Longhorn. Tomorrow I plan on a Day 1. I will post to let you guys know how it goes. I really look forward to going down this road with support. I've done it before alone and it just didn't work.
