Welcome to the family GS. Continue to keep on quitting  don't be afraid to reach out. If you have questions, ask any of us. If we don't know the answer, we will ask someone. And so on and so on... Buckle up your seatbelt  put on your helmet bro... It's time to hop on that CrAzY train...
How was today? I'll tell you how it was... It was FUCKING AWESOME!

Wanna know why? Today you won. It takes a little while to get past the claws that the stupid bitch has dug deep into your skin... But when you are able to move the craves aside, you are winning at something that you lost at for a lot of years. A lot. Something that made you feel guilt. Shame. Disappointment. And today you have won for the second day in a row!

No pain, no gain. Keep writing your struggles here. It is a great outlet for venting, to get some bad ass support, and to build a record to look back at. Because in not too long you'll look back at your first post and be enraged at what a poisonous plant in a can did to you. I promise.

My number is yours for the taking if you need a contact. Shoot me a pm. Welcome aboard!

Keep it up, GS. You're on the right path and if you stick with the program, nothing will derail that. Your November quit brothers are turning into a strong group, so you've got plenty of solid folks to lean on. I'll PM you my digits - feel free to reach out at any time.

  • Interests: Football (Roll Tide), waiting on Alabama's basketball team to return to somewhat relevance. I enjoy working around the house, and attempting to become a shade-tree mechanic. I love golf, but do not play nearly enough. Country music, my wife, front porch, and a cold beer is all it takes to make me happy.

Hang in there bud. It might not seem like it, but it does get easier. PM'ing you my number. Call, text, ignore me, whatever you want to do as long as you stay quit. Post every damn day, and keep your word. Drink a ton of water, sunflower seeds, gum, fake dip, doesn't matter. Stay quit. Quit with you today.

Back on and just posted roll, right this time I hope, been ready to snatch someone bald for a dip today, but I'm not caving, hell I'm not even leaving the house. Been dipping tea leaves still, along with gum and sunflower seeds, just trying to keep my mouth busy.

Post roll early daily, get numbers, have a plan for dealing with the craving when come (they will) and learn to hate.

The end of the dreaded first day.
« on: August 06, 2014, 11:35:00 PM »
So I quit this morning, had been thinking on it for a while but this morning in particular, when my 2 year old daughter opened my half full spit bottle and sprayed it all over the living room, I decided enough was enough, flushed every bit of dip I had left, tossed the spit bottles, and commited to doing this after 2 previous tries and failures. I found this site while lying in bed and decided right away to join. One thing that helps that was a long shot for me is tea leaves soaked in mint extract, gives it that same bite the real stuff has without rotting your face. But about me, I'm 25 years old, married with 2 children, ages 2 and 4, been a can a day dipper for almost 12 years, it's added a bit of roughness to my marriage not to mention the incident this morning and so today it ended.
