You are making the right move Pooch.. I wish I had the brains to quit when I was twenty. Your life will be a lot more exciting - not having to hide the fact you have "The Bear" packed when talking to people, not having to sneak a quick dip at school, work or at social events, etc.

Be nic and dip free - I am day 3 and I quit with you!

Glad to have you here. Like others have said, post roll and read all you can here. Keep posting in your intro and to other people's as encouragement. Exchange phone numbers with some people so that you have someone to keep you accountable. It also helps to have someone you can talk to who knows what cravings are like.

This forum is only as useful as you allow it to be; get involved.

I quit with you today. I hope you get laid today. Because you are so young, you will probably get laid by a 19 or 20 some year old gal. So it makes my quit today easier thinking of a 19-20 person having sex today and quitting, and I spoke with them. Almost like I got laid today.

Not really.

I'm hoping by now you can post a "Day 2".

Hang in there poochy, it will get better. I can't say when or how fast, but guarantee that it will.

ODAAT works.

Hey Poochy, glad you have sacked up and quit. Tobacco does nothing for anyone. It is poison and it will kill you. Just focus on quitting one day at a time and you will be free. Make sure and post roll every single day and make some friends. Killthecan saved my life without question. Drink the koolaid!

Hey poochy, I have a question for you. Are you an addict? Or to restate the question, are you addicted to nicotine? If you don't mind, I'll answer that for you. Yes and Yes. You chew a half can of dip per day. You were perusing the internet to learn about quitting dip and stumbled across this site. Do you know what kind of people chew a 1/2 can of dip per day and look for support to quit dipping? Addicts.

I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to prove a point to you. Your two-year 1/2 can per day addiction is no different than my 18-year 1/2 can per day addiction which is no different than the guy who dipped a can per day for 25 years. But, I will say in your defense, I think we all wish we were as smart as you to man up and kick the can at age 20 after 2 years than feed our addictions for as long as we did. So on that front, I'm proud of you. I'm also glad to read that you already asked about posting roll. If you kicked the can today, then today is day 1. Tomorrow, post roll and that will be day 2 for you. Do this every day and promise to stay quit for that day. I'm also going to challenge you a bit more. Most 20-somethings fail at this. Don't be that guy. Be the anomaly. Be the top 3% that actually quit and stay quit. Be this guy,Â…I quit with this guy every damn day.
I was one of those 20-somethings that failed, and I can tell you from experience that you will hate yourself for it every day until you return here. Do yourself a favor and don't leave in the first place. It isn't easy, but it feels a hell of a lot better than being a slave.

New Quit
« on: April 15, 2014, 10:10:00 PM »
Hey Guys. My names J, 20 year old college Rugby player. Chewed Grizz longcut for 2 years, half a can a day. I know that doesn't seem like a lot compared to most on this site, but I decided it was time to get off the shit. Anyways, nice to see a place where people get the shit it takes to quit. Thanks ya'll
