I used the patch for 30 days - and got to go through withdrawals twice. Cold turkey is the only way.

Anything other than cold turkey is just delaying. Pull the trigger and donÂ’t look back!

Cold turkey. Today is day 50 and I would never have thought it possible. This site will give you more than any medication or weaning paraphernalia ever could.

Post roll and watch what happens, it's amazing.
Trust and faith in your brothers and the process. You are lacking both right now. Let go we a have enough for you.

Hang on brother, the ride is worth it. Keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times. Here we go....
^^^ you just hit the quit lottery! These quitters know what they are talking about and do it daily my advice:
Post roll call, it is your promise to yourself and your fellow quitters to not use nicotine for 24 hours
Read everything you can, every crave get on the site and read,
Get active and invest in your quit, this isn't a miracle, it takes hard work
Quit on brother and stay quit this weekend,
Id Spuds
Yes. Cold Turkey.

so sick of this shit
Been right there. This is a familiar refrain. Post roll and be a man of your word and quit one day at a time. Too simple to be true? Worked for me. Day 237.

But I remember being where you are. It's terrifying. But you can do it. Take freedom and your own destiny by the balls man.

My .02, chantix helped me but I will say some of the side affects were overwhelming. Do what it takes as long as nicotine isn't involved.

Some solid quit wisdom was just dropped on your ass. Heed the words of Pabs, spuds, and invader - they've all spelled out (as clear as day) what you need to do. Stop romancing the stone and quit. Nicotine is nicotine - no matter the delivery system (patch, gum, rolled, chewed, or pinched) - it's all the same. In these parts we recognize this as addiction. Not some "habit" or thing we just picked up. Full-fledged addicts. And you know what, you're just like us.

So, get your name on that roll call and make a promise every day...that promise is first to yourself and second to us. The difference between now and all those other times is that you don't have to answer to just yourself if you fuck up. Don't...fuck up. Make that promise and we'll reciprocate that same promise back to you. See how this works? Read up on this site and get involved. Hopefully we see your name peppered on this intro board and on roll every day; meaning you've jumped in head first into your quit. I'd be stoked if you do.

Hey man! Forget the gums, patches, lozenges, suppositories, or whatever else companies are trying to sell you. You don't need any of it. Think about it. Their sales pitch is essentially "Well, you're obviously too weak to quit without our products". It's all a bunch of bullshit. You aren't too weak to quit. If you have a genuine hatred for nicotine, willpower, and the support of people, you have everything you need to begin living a life free of nicotine. If you really want this, it's yours for the taking.

There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

My journey. The best part it is not over yet.

Welcome aboard.

I would recommend posting roll. The best way to approach this is to take it one day at a time.

Posting roll everyday may seem like craziness at first, but during my short time here it has worked.

Came across this site and it feels good to finally here what it's like for people trying to quit chew not just cigarettes. I've been dipping for 30 years, tried (half halfheartedly) many times to quit but I just flat out like it and so haven't had much success. At a point now where I can no longer deny that it is time, for me, my kids, my wife. Been using nicorette gum for years and that hasn't helped much, any experience out there with Chantix of other solutions or is that all bull shit and I just need to sack up and go cold turkey?
Psh it's all bullshit! Cold turkey is the way. First and foremost, you can't really like this shit and quit because you feel sorry for your family, there not the ones killing themselves, you are! Grab your sac, man up and get this shit done, but you gotta wanna quit for yourself, if not your gonna waste all involved parties time. Post roll and you will never be alone on your quit again! Lots more advice on here but the price of admission is post roll! I quit with you today!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD
