Afternoon everybody name here is Jeremey. I am 24 years old and have been dipping since I was 15 . Today is a wierd day for me so to speak I have been sitting at work staring at my new can of dip I just bought wondering how I have let myself get so hooked on such a bad habit. As I sat here I have began to think about how much this stuff has actually ruled my life for the past 9 years. Leaving the house at 12 at night to get a can of dip, making sure I always have extra cans in my truck or in my bag for work and the list goes on and on. After loosing my mother to stomach cancer last month this has been something that has been on my mind for the past month. My biggest reason for quitting is im sure like everyone else my fear of cancer. I am sick of freaking out everytime I get a cold sore or eat something spicy and get a little sore in my mouth from it. I am only 24 and I figure it is time to let this childhood habit go. I have tried to quit before and have never been able to. I also never joined on here before either hopefully you guys can keep me on track and I can finally kick this habit in the ass. 3/17/16 is my quit date hopefully forever.

You do NOT have a bad habit - you are an ADDICT! You need to reprogram that into your brain. We are all addicts here. No one has a BAD HABIT here. Start training yourself to think that way.
You need to quit for yourself and not because of a fear. The fear of cancer is a good reason to quit and should be a good motivator for your to keep quitting each day...but you need to own your quit each day for YOU and only YOU.
Last - if you are quitting today, you need to toss/throw away/flush down that can you are looking at immediately. You can't have anything around you waiting for you to cave into the nicotine. You need to get rid of it all right now if you want to quit for you.
At KTC, we quit cold turkey, post roll in your group (you will be in the
June 2016 Pre-HOF if you choose to quit and stay quit) early each and every day. Posting roll is your promise in the morning to stay quit from all forms of nicotine for 24 hours. Posting at night is not acceptable to say to your group that you 'made it' through the day. Caving to the nic bitch is something that isn't tolerated and especially in this year's June group where many have taken it upon themselves to be in the business of caving. That has since ended and they are a strong bunch and will not tolerate anymore.
You have to own this and you have to do it for YOU. I can't make you quit...only you can stay quit each day and post your promise each day. If you don't have access, get someone's number in your group and text them to post up your promise. If you aren't ready to quit, keep reading everything on this site and come back when you are. But I'll tell you right now, quitting today is better than not quitting today. Shoving poison into your mouth isn't something I would say is a good idea at all actually and I did it for 22 years.
My suggestion - jump in, save your life from certain death, get involved and be a part of this and redeem your freedom from this slave of a drug that has ruined so many lives including all of ours. Free yourself from it and quit today and come back again and quit tomorrow!
